    Poor Experience and Bad Customer Service

    The reviews we read of the hotel were good - which is why we chose it. It is in a good location, and the rooms we had (see below) had lovely views over the river, especially at night. However ….We arrived on Thursday night (around 11pm - by this time the reception staff had gone home and the security guard checked us in. He failed to the tell us the WiFi did not work in the room and make us aware we could use other rooms WiFi codes (additional cost incurred using data roaming as a result). The fridge in the room wasn’t working. We spoke to reception Friday morning, they rang and offered us either a change or 2 rooms (one for Friday night and another for Saturday and Sunday) or just to stay and move Saturday morning to another room for two nights. We opted for the latter. Moving to one room for the rest of the stay is what we should have been offered.We packed up Saturday morning, left our bags in reception, came back around 4:15pm to check into our new room. When we got there the sofa bed was not made up as a bed. We returned to reception and were given a sheet and duvet to make the bed. The linen wasn’t pressed, just stuffed into a bag! We realised there was no mattress and returned to reception. We were told there was nothing he could do and offered another duvet as a mattress. We again complained saying this was not satisfactory and asked for another hotel room, be it elsewhere in Frankfurt. We were told as we didn’t book direct with the hotel this was not possible. We stood our ground and insisted phone calls were made (which was awkward and not something we should have needed to do) and then he “found a new place with a mattress” we were given the mattress and had to carry to the room and make up the sofa bed.We asked multiple times, including at the time of checkout, to speak to a manager and told this wasn’t possible.I would not stay here again.     The Flag Oskar is our Home away from Home. The Staffs are very Friendly and accomodating. It has everything that we wanted, a cozy room equipped with modern Kitchen and Interior. The Location is top, across the Street is a Supermarket. A few minutes walk to the Trainstation, 1 station away from the Shopping center ( My Zeil).     Wonderful place to stay

    My wife, our dog, and I had a wonderful stay at THE FLAG Oskar M. The location is ideal—close enough to the city center for convenience, yet perfectly situated away from the crowds for a peaceful retreat. The hotel sits right next to the river, and the view from our 7th-floor balcony was truly spectacular. We enjoyed watching boats and people on the river throughout the day.The balcony was a great feature, providing a relaxing space to unwind. Having Aldi just across the street and Tegut within walking distance made it easy to get anything we needed. One highlight was watching fireworks launched from the river path, which added a special touch to our stay.Overall, the combination of the excellent location, beautiful river views, and comfortable accommodation made our visit very enjoyable.     Big room ! Nice walking area

    We had a nice big room . Our check in with Marc was delightful and he was very helpful. Location is very close to the old street . It was hot on arrival , but the windows have built in shades to block sunlight and good for sleeping . There was a couple of open drinks left in our fridge , there is only 3 coffee pods in the room for two people for 2 nights we didn’t have enough . So we decided to grab coffee from the breakfast room . On the website breakfast on week days is 6am , but they didn’t open until after 7am and coffee was 4 euro a mug . Over all it’s a great hotel and I recommend it .
