  Excellent, Modern Stay at Super 8 Freiburg

  ​The Super 8 in Freiburg is a fantastic choice for a clean and comfortable stay. The hotel has a very modern feel, as almost everything appears new and well-maintained. We particularly enjoyed the inviting bar and spacious seating area—it was the perfect place to relax in the evening.​While the location is a bit removed from the city center, getting downtown is easy: the tram stop is only a few minutes' walk away. The close proximity to a large store is also a major plus for convenience. Highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking for quality and cleanliness.Just a suggestion if they could add any tea tray services in the room.   Very Hot Rooms No Air Con

  I’m currently staying at the Super 8, and while the hotel itself is new and modern, the lack of effective air conditioning is a major issue. The room has a control panel that looks like an AC thermostat, but it's just for a fan and is locked at 25°C (77°F). This makes the room uncomfortably hot, especially at night.I mentioned this to the front desk, and they confirmed there is no actual air conditioning in the rooms.Other than that, the hotel is pretty nice. The beds are comfortable and the rooms look just like the pictures online. However, the Wi-Fi is also very unreliable and frequently cuts out. If you’re a business traveler who needs a stable internet connection, you might want to consider staying somewhere else. I've had a difficult time even trying to post this review because the Wi-Fi keeps going down.   A very comfortable hotel

  If you are looking for a comfortable and quiet place to stop and rest when visiting Friburg, book a room at this hotel. The building is new and the room inside was very big, with a wide bathroom and everything was clean. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Advice: try to find a parking outside if you are arriving by car. From 19 to 9 you don't have nor to pay nor to move the car after two hours. Parking indoor costs 18 euros.   Some gripes but also some good aspects

  The hotel was a good price and close to a tram stop which takes you into central Freiburg in around 10 minutes. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as we were looking to sample what the city had to offer and this was a good move for us. The room was clean and comfortable with a super clean bathroom. My two gripes (which is why it was a 3 star review) were:1. Cost of the parking in the underground car park - I think this should be complimentary at best or minimal cost at worst so to pay the daily €10 charge was painful.2. The front of the hotel was often full of smokers and buses so there were often pollution and noise underneath our window. I know the hotel cannot be responsible for noisy guests but they could locate a smoking area in a place that isn’t going to affect people in the rooms. Also, bus drivers starting their coaches and running the engines from 7am is annoying. They should be made to stay on the street outside the hotel.   Room was unbearably hot at night; we were miserable.

  Room was unbearably hot at night; we were miserable. While we were out of the room during the day, we left a key to keep it running and it was fine. At ~2100, the AC system is automatically programmed to allow less air and by midnight, it was unbearable. We had to sleep with a wide open window, grateful for the occasional puff of cool air, but still not sleeping because of the noise in the street of people hanging out, loudly talking, and sirens from emergency vehicles. By the time that all died down, we could sleep for a few hours-albeit on very flat pillows-until the birds started chirping loudly at daybreak.It's a shame to have to leave this review but we don't want anyone to suffer as we did. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean, we did not have the breakfast but the coffee at the desk was very good.
