SEEhotel Friedrichshafen is an disaster, an unmitigated embarrassment. Take a look at the photos - what was advertised (first three photos) is clearly NOT what was provided (last three photos) - and as you bask in how horrible the room is, know that they charged €156 for it. What a joke. I was booked into a dark, dingy, poorly lit room, with a nasty restroom whose shower door couldn't even open fully due to being block by the toilet, that has peeling pant on the "window sill" (to call it that is to use the term incredibly loosely), bugs on the walls, wall sockets and a temperature control unit that I'm pretty sure are here from the 1960s and/or Soviet Russia, and a bed that wouldn't even be foisted off on a criminal. Don't even get me started on the monosyllabic night guard who thinks beaming his flashlight into your eyes REPEATEDLY is good customer service, and can hardly speak to save his life, but that's a minor quibble compared to everything else that is so catastrophically wrong with this place. About the ONLY two things of positive note are its location, which is nice, and the day desk staff being friendly (in the brief time I interacted with them). That's it. Everything else is pretty horrid. The manager of this establishment should be embarrassed in themselves, and in this hotel.

Very good location, head receptionist (only) very pleasant, breakfast good with unsmiling service. My room had no window, but a small balcony which let air and light in. Welcomed, because room was very gloomy with nowhere near enough lights. Bed comfortable, ripped bedsheet. Bathroom had shower over bath, but a rather small glass screen made sure the floor had a good soaking every time. Wi-Fi was struggling, but that’s probably more the area.Overall a very tired and unloved place. Does anybody care?

SEEhotel FriedrichshafenWe booked this hotel on an urgent basis (ddue to a bad experience with the other hotel booking). We have to cancel and book this hotel. Very neat hotel few steps from Train/Bus station, beautiful see and lawn view. Awesome break fast, spacious room/bathroom. Late-night booking and check-in.

Nice visit but not spectacular

The hotel was clean and adequate for our 2 day visit. We paid a bit extra for a lake view room. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The hotel offered a buffet style breakfast which had a fair bit of choice in fruit and breads. However there were a few areas where the hotel could improve their services:- of two elevators, only 1 was working and we were on the 4th floor- the reception staff could make more effort to be smiling and welcoming- there was only one coffee machine in the dining room ( another behind the bar but generally inaccessible). There were long line-ups and getting a coffee was time-consuming. The machine also ran out of milk frequently because there were a lot of guests. The limited staff had difficulty surveying the machine and keeping it stocked as they were also trying to keep the food stocked. More than one coffee machine would be a big improvement in service.- the biggest drawback ( and frustration ) with the hotel stay was the lack of (or inconsistent functioning of) the WiFi. In addition to this the town seems to be in an area where the telephone reception is extremely limited and getting more than 1 or 2 bars was difficult. Installing a good working WIFI for the hotel would seem to me to be a priority.

Very cold room, no heating with 4 degrees Celsius outside. We paid 280€ per night and cleaners didnt come every day we didn't have clean towels when needed. We had to leave one day before our scheduled time as conditions were not leavable, we mentioned everything at reception and they didn't seem to care. I will definitely not go back, and strongly advice others not to either. Extremely expensive for what they offered. Also, very poor breakfast for a hotel in the centre of the town, with such a high price. Unacceptable
