  Great Hotel

  The location was perfect! Hotel staff was super nice. Dinner at the hotel was delicious. We had a wonderful waiter Conrad. Our room was super large, and very clean. We overlooked the Main Street. Had a beautiful view of the mountains. We will be back!

  Nice Stay at the Castle Crown

  Nice one night stay at Hotel Schlosskrone in Fussen. Very friendly staff at check in. We had room# 146 on the 4th floor. Clean and quiet with a small terrace and A/C. Very good breakfast provided. Hotel is across from the pedestrian zone in the Altstadt which has many restaurants, cafes, and shops. Parking available for €12 per day. Garage is definitely a little tight but not as treacherous as others have posted. We asked for the Fussen guest card at the front desk which we utilized to take the bus from the HBF a few minutes walk away to Neuschwanstein Castle for free.   Very rude and unhelpful reception staff

  Very rude and unhelpful reception staffWe arrived at Hotel Schlosskrone on 30 August 2026 at around 8:00 PM. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the advertised parking, but when we arrived, no parking space was available.I asked the young man at reception what we could do. Instead of trying to help or simply explaining the situation politely, he responded very rudely that it was not his fault and offered no alternative.I then asked whether I could at least charge my electric car, as there appeared to be space available in the parking area. His response was again dismissive and disrespectful. He simply said no and emphasized, in an irritated manner, that he had already told me this several times.The lack of parking itself would not have caused me to leave a negative review. Situations like that can happen. What made the experience unacceptable was the attitude of this particular reception employee.Hospitality is not only about rooms and facilities. When a guest has a problem, the minimum expectation is to be treated politely and respectfully.Unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression of our stay. Regarding the parking situation, we would like to clarify that our parking spaces are limited and require advance reservation subject to availability. This information is provided on Booking.com as well as in the welcome emails sent prior to arrival. When all spaces have been reserved in advance, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate additional vehicles in our garage. This also applies to the electric vehicle charging stations, which are included in the total number of available parking spaces. We ask for your understanding in this matter. To offer you an alternative, the reception team repeatedly suggested parking at a nearby partner garage at our special hotel rate—an option you ultimately utilized. Nevertheless, we regret that the communication during this situation did not meet the level of service you rightly expect from us. We take your feedback very seriously.   The best thing about this hotel is its great location, which is just a few minutes by foot from the old town. Our room was fine, if somewhat spartan, with a weak A/C. Based on other reviews we skipped the restaurant for dinner, but did have the included breakfast, which was good. The staff were very correct but not exactly warm, which I think might reflect a difference in cultural expectations between Americans and Germans.   A very disappointing visit. We booked for a comfortable room and worthwhile dining experience but got neither.

  We booked a "Comfort double room with Balcony". It was on the second floor at the back of the hotel with a close-up view of the steel circular fire escape. The balcony was actually the fire escape route with no privacy - probably the worst balcony facility in the hotel. It overlooked a domestic building site. The TV had no internet connection. The restaurant menu and wine list was OK. However, the food was so bad that we refused it. We were offered a replacement but declined. We were not charged. The service staff were charming but our visit was wrecked. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Parking is difficult.
