    So many bedbug bites- very uncomfortable - so many people so staff were quite busy and not able to help us sort out our lockers in our rooms to lock away our stuff safely

    Room number 622I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the condition of our room. Upon arrival, we noticed several serious issues that are simply unacceptable. • There is no toilet paper in the room. • The sink is blocked, making it unusable. • The bathroom has clearly not been cleaned properly. • My children are refusing to take a shower because they say it is disgusting. • Additionally, the room we received does not match the pictures we saw when booking.This experience is far below the standard we expected. I kindly request that you address these issues immediately or provide us with a different room that meets basic hygiene and comfort standards.Please respond as soon as possible.Kind regards,Rosalyn Samura

    We arrived at 11.30 pm to three hostile security guards. After checking in and grabbing a drink from the useless bar staff more interested in their phone, we went to our room settled in two hours later security knocked on the door accusing us of being to loud then bribed us for €100 or leave we paid as it was so late and had nowhere else to go. Avoid at all measures

    To be absolutely clear: this is a BASIC hotel. We wanted something cheap and available at short notice so it ticked those boxes, but if I have a bit more time in advance, there’s no way I’d book here again. There’s no a/c and when you open the window for ventilation you will experience the noise and dusty pollution from a Hamburg main road; the rooms are small, and the bathroom and toilet are so small you have to breathe in just to close the door. The beds were basic with minimal comfort. Half the lifts were broken which was unhelpful for us on the 5th floor. There was no drinking water, so no way to fill your water bottle, despite their claims to green credentials. What cannot be argued is that the rooms and hotel in general were very clean if spartan, and staff were friendly with a decent enough bar. But that’s about it.

    I have not been back to hostels since my years as a young person backpacking. We wanted to show our son the hostel traveling life and we all we so pleased with the a&o. It was friendly, safe, clean and comfortable.
