Location

This hotel is located in a pretty inner courtyard of Hamburg's fascinating boulevard, the Reeperbahn. Various shopping and entertainment venues, restaurants and bars are to be found here. Many of the tourist highlights such as Hamburg harbour with the St. Pauli pontoon, the Operettenhaus or the panopticum and the famous fish market are within easy reach. The nearest train station, Reeperbahn, is located around 50 m away, so that the 3 km away city centre is quickly reached. Hamburg airport is roughly 10 km from the hotel.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 26 single rooms and 198 double rooms located in a 3-storey main building and a 5-storey auxiliary building. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided to guests. Guests can get more information about excursions at the tour desk. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops as well. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for a fee. Further services and facilities include a car hire service, room service and a laundry service. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service (for a fee). Bicycle storage is also available.

Rooms are equipped with adjustable central heating. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience.     Horrible place, DO NOT recommend. Impossible to find, have to go through a labyrinth just to find your room, not accessible for wheel chair users(no elevator), holes in the walls,stains on the floor,cracks in the bathroom tiles,rubbish on the floor, old food and crumbs on the tables,bathroom door doesn't even close fully with paint peeling off it, stickers on the 20cm tv,loose wires, random door leading to the corridor, broken window sills, plaster on the walls , weird marks on the bathroom door, and extremely uncomfortable beds, not worth the price at all.     I travel frequently and often stay at A&O, but I must say this was the worst one.As you can see in the pictures, the floor was dirty, and the bathroom was not clean. There was a brochure stating that for environmental reasons, they do not clean the rooms daily, and if cleaning is needed, it must be booked in advance.The next day, housekeeping came but only replaced the towels.On the last night, three drunk individuals were shouting in the hallway around 5 AM, but no one answered the phone, and we had to go all the way to reception to resolve the issue.This place doesn’t even deserve a one-star rating!
