Perfect for business travellers as well as families, this first-class business hotel is situated on a quiet street right next to the city centre and 25 km from the tourist attractions of Buchholz in der Nordheide. There is a bus stop nearby. Hamburg (HAM) Airport is 55 km away.

Facility

The hotel was modernised in 2020. The hotel welcomes guests in a 3-storey building with a lift and 48 non-smoking rooms. Staffed 24 hours a day, the reception desk makes check-in and check-out easy. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A variety of shops are available, including a supermarket. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park.     We visited Hamburg, and an obligatory stop was to return for dinner at the Il Sole restaurant, so we decided to stay and sleep in Buchholz after dinner.small country hotel, friendly staff.     Stayed for 1 night on a Leger Holidays tour. Room was quite comfortable. There was a safe that didn't work. (Although there is a safe in Reception for valuables) No sockets on one side of the bed and an extension lead under the bed on the other side.Bed was comfortable but pillow was a bit weird. (It resembled a large marshmallow) Small bathroom and shower. Bar was ok serviced by the adjacent reception desk.Restaurant was closed for dinner due to chef being on holiday.Breakfast was good.     Very dirty rooms and bad attitude of staff

    Bad service and attitude and very dirty rooms. I booked directly with them through the website. We asked 48h beforehand for the Corona regulations. A trainee answered my email stating the regulations and we made sure to comply with them. We were surprised to find completely different regulations when arriving. I completely understand that the governments regulations might change, or trainees might not be up to the current situation. What was remarkable was the clerks attitude and service. Quote: „it’s not my responsibility at all to assist or inform guests about the regulations“. Do you not want travelers to visit your hotel? Now, checking in, we saw gross ashes in the bathroom under the vent - see photo. We also found that many of the visitors and cleaning staff were not wearing masks the next day. Not recommended! All I ask when away from home is a clean room and staff who would be glad to assist someone away from home! Seit 01.12.2021 gilt in der Hotelerie/Gastronomie in Niedersachsen eine Pflicht zum Tragen einer Maske des Typs FFP2 oder KN95, die sogenannten OP-Masken oder ähnliche Masken sind nicht zulässig. Dieses Verbot ist von der Landesregierung des Bundeslandes Niedersachsens auferlegt, an dieses Verbot müssen wir uns alle halten, somit ist die Regelung auch nicht mit dem Hotelpersonal verhandelbar. Des weiteren gilt seit 01.12.2021 die 2G+ Regel (geimpft/genesen + Test) für Beherbergungsbetriebe in Niedersachsen, außer die Hotelauslastung beträgt weniger als 70%, dann gilt die 2G Regel. Zum Zeitpunkt Ihrer Anfrage, lag die Auslastung unter 70%, somit galt die 2G Regel. An diesem Tag war auch nicht abzusehen, dass sich dies bis 2 Tage später verändern würde. Sie werden uns sicherlich nachsehen, dass es im laufenden Hotelbetrieb zur Weihnachtszeit nicht immer möglich ist, jede kurzfristige Änderung allen Gästen mitzuteilen.     We booked the hotel for 1 night by calling the hotel on our way. We arrived with our daughters after 1200 km of driving in rain and wind. There was no parking available at the hotel. We asked the reception for any possibility but we were asked to search around the hotel. After 20 minutes of searching for any spot, to our surprise my husband was told that he can park the car in the garage for 8 EUR over night. That aside We were given a room on the third floor and after all the formalities were over the receptionist told us that the lift is broken. Despite seeing us with 2 small kids, we were asked to take our luggage up by ourselves and noooooooo helllllppp . All that we heard was how much we had to pay. For everything for 1 night stay with breakfast we paid 220 EUR. The hotel quality is far from 4 star. Rooms are minimal. Very old furniture were used and the bed is not comfortable to sleep. Blanket are very small. You can't even move . Breakfast is also very basic. Overall I am not recommending this place.     The hotel is very good located close to the train station and some shopping. The room was cleaned and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is pool but we never tried it service. We request daily bottles of water and they didn't accept it so we left before our expectations and they never tried to solve. So I think that they don't take care of what their clients want.
