    The stay was good and I liked the solution for the whole family. They have a pool that works well for adults but the temperature is too low to let the children in it to enjoy the experience with them. Breakfast was good with everything you need.     Forget the swimming pool

    Hotel is well positioned for central Hamburg and family rooms spacious enough. Staff are helpful and friendly. However this hotel has to stop advertising that it has a swimming pool - on each pf our last three visits there have been nebulous excuses for why it is not in operation which has been disappointing for my sons.

    It is really just 3/5. Almost 2/5. I booked the hotel for being able to use a swimming pool. That is the main drawback. It is freezing cold. And I wasnt the only one around trying to use it but quickly deciding otherwise. It is as if the had the local river water filtered nicely but using the same temperature like wintertime. Otherwise, the room was pleasantly big. It had a mini kitchen even washer/dryer and balcony. Surely better what you d get like in the hotels nearby. Funnily this area seems to be so popular that hotels dont seem to care (just like the Scandic in my last review). Here also you get a surprise notice that only every three days someone checks your room. And also like the other hotel they seem to save on heating. This one is a merely 1 grade warmer, but you surely cant get it high up, if you had a freezing day in Hamburg and want to get warm... Anyways for people wanting to check out Hamburg on foot this location is hard to beat. You can wander in any direction..and get full sightseeing service. For me it will be my last time. Also some might like that dogs seem to be allowed. I don't. What I miss is a bit of travel guests. Both the Scandic and this one seem to be quite full of travelling business people like me. (well there are some offices nearby...).
