    Check-in was easy by the friendly front desk staff. The hotel has three swift lifts.The room was ok, very basic. There were small shelves on each bedside which served as nightstands, and power outlets at each--perfect for two people to charge devices at bedside. The room had a mini fridge and a coffeemaker.The bathroom had a shower/tub combo that was very slippery. The shower water pressure was ok. The towels were large but thin. The counter had two sinks with plenty of counterspace. The magnifying mirror was a nice touch.The WiFi was strong (yay!) but not password protected (boo!). Parking was steep at €25/day; unfortunately, that's city parking.

    Nice but Hotelbar does not respect opening hours

    A very nice, confortable hotel, kind reception staff, functional room in a lively neighbourhood. A huge deception was however the BAR - even though the Website (and a big board at the enytrance) announce the opening hours for 17.30 - 01.00 am, on the day of our visit it was closed at 22:30. I dared to insist and was reluctantly served a drink with the announcement that I had until 23:00 to finish it. I was then reminded twice that the bar was closing at 23:00 - which it did, I got simply invited to pay and leave, and lights were turned off. There was no explanantion (except that they felt like going home?) - a scandal.

    We had a great stay at ARCOTEL! We paid for a Smart Comfort Room and had problem with sound and Peter at the front desk was MORE than accomodating in helping us resolve the issue - he UPGRADED our room to a junior suite looking out onto the main strip and a free breakfast. The staff were all beyond hospitable, and we would come back from days of sightseeing to find our room back in pristine condition! Thank you ARCOTEL Rubin team you were awesome!

    I booked the hotel through agoda.com, and due to miscommunication I had a double booking. The hotel told me they would communicate with agoda to refund one booking. However despite the cancellation I did not get the refund and my reaching out to the hotel through mail was not answered. Poor communication and service costed me an extra 400€

    ARCOTEL Rubin is well-located with easy access to the station, but the surrounding area doesn't give the feel of classic Hamburg and is a bit rough.The room itself was spacious, clean, and had a street view, though the view wasn't particularly appealing. Basic amenities like slippers were missing, which you'd expect in a 4-star hotel. The reception area felt minimal and lacked the sophistication of a 4-star property.The service from the receptionists was a highlight. The young lady at reception was also very helpful throughout our stay. Aboubakr was especially kind and offered us a complimentary breakfast for a day, which was appreciated. However, when we arrived at 2 PM, our rooms were not ready, so we had to store our luggage and return later.While there was a coffee available, it was reserved for conference use, which was disappointing. The breakfast itself was excellent—plenty of options and good value for money.Overall, the stay was decent, but it doesn't meet the standard you'd expect from a 4-star hotel.
