    An uninspiring hotel in an average part of town. The food is very basic and the rooms, while clean and spacious are bland and not homely.     Avoid at all costs. Staff are incredibly rude on reception. My airpods went missing from my room, they were when i left the room & gone when i came bk. The room was cleaned whilst i was out. I went to reception who told me things like this dont happen, called the ckeaning team who said no they havent got them, didnt realy think ny1 would admit it!! They are on my tracker as in Hamburg not too far from the hotel & seen as i never left the room with them....terrible way to treat people no duty of candour & dishonest people.     Nice room with a view on a cornor room

    Hotel is not far from the main station (4 stops) and bus run quite frequent and bus stop is just around the corner. U Bahn is a bit distance but still good. Hotel located in a residential area so not much activities around. Have booked an Alster View room. Got to fifth floor on the corner. Room is very sizable. Windows on two size with lot of natural light. Bed and pillows are very comfy. The only down side is there is no bath tub, read the hotel details i thought bath is with bath tub, just just mean the bath room ( so actually its my understand that if you can't take a bath, it's just a shower room. Stange and there is a strange sound from all top of windows. Maybe it's the weather too cold and when at night everything is quiet down. There's a strange wood cracking/clicking sound from all three windows every 20-30 seconds or so. It disturb a little bit. Breakfast is very nice and have many choice of bread, cold cut, juice and tea. You can order you own choice of eggs such as omlet or fried eggs direct at the cooking station.Dont know why I can't use my credit card thru apple pay. Many fails attempted and lucky I have another credit card (physical) with me. Don't know if this happened to other guests

    Outstanding Hospitality and a Memorable Stay in Hamburg

    We thoroughly enjoyed our six-night stay at the Crowne Plaza City Alster, Hamburg. A special thank you to Julia, whose warmth and friendliness made our breakfasts such a pleasure each morning, and to Smo, both at the bar and during breakfast service, for his helpful, personable, and professional manner. All the staff were fantastic and contributed to a wonderful stay.The St. George neighbourhood is charming, and the nearby Alster lake is beautiful for cycling or a leisurely stroll. The hotel’s location is also convenient, with the U-Bahn station just a short walk away.Our Junior Suite was modern and spacious, with thoughtful touches such as a coffee machine, daily replenished water, and biscuits, all maintained by a courteous and attentive housekeeping team. A little more wardrobe space and shelving would have been appreciated, but it didn’t detract from our comfort.Overall, a very comfortable, clean and well maintained hotel. The bar area is modern and comfortable with a decent evening atmosphere. The gym was equipped with the essentials inc. towels and fresh water station! We didn’t use the sauna, but it looked clean and in good order. Our only minor issue was the Wi-Fi signal, which could have been stronger, as it didn’t support our Chromecast connection.Overall, a highly enjoyable stay with exceptional service — we would gladly return!

    We stayed here for two nights as a family of three. As the rooms were comfortably laid out, very quiet and we were given two rooms together which was helpful as a family breakfast was lovely as were all the attentive staff. A special shout out to the team reception for being so helpful, Victor and Sorina. Asides from the hotel, my top tip for a family stay would be to visit the aquarium, really interesting and well laid out. Well worth a visit.
