  Very good hotel for wheelchair-users

  We stayed in a wheelchair accessible room in this hotel for a long weekend and were very happy. There is a disabled-parking bay right in fron tof the entracne just for the hotel, but it also has a direct bus connection with a station at the doorstep to Hamburgs main train-station and the old town. To get to the harbour you just need to change once from that bs to tpo the underground, all wheelchair-accessible. At the hotel the access to the bar and the restaurnat for breakfast is all flat as well and our room was spacious and well-adapted. The hotel is located directly next to the large university clinic in Hamburg-Eppendorf.   Great overall stray at a reasonable price

  + Room was very comfortable+ Bed was great+ Breakfast buffet was wonderful and had everything+ Hotel facilities and surroundings were great- Shampoo in the shower was completely empty, not great if you are standing in the shower completely wet. Front desk person did not apologize or care, just said that she would notify the cleaning people.   Ok , outdated , internet outage

  The hotel is slowly getting outdated. Service is good. Breakfast buffet is excellent. No fridge or minibar in the rooms. Most disappointing was the lack of hotel public internet for over 24 hours , which caused a major disruption for any international business traveler. I wasn’t offered any appropriate reimbursement or refund.

  I had next to zero sleep for 2 nights due to how terrible the duvets and pillows are at this hotel. Most of the staff are rude. I didn't get a chance to complain the first night as I had to leave for the day as soon as morning came due to my reasons for visiting. I complained the second night after my tolerance gave way...when I went to reception to ask if they had any other pillows, the receptionist "Monika" said "well you should have told us yesterday", laughed in my face - literally - when I was trying to explain. She did not care at all. Zero customer service. Awful member of staff that should have their position reconsidered.   Arrived quite late in the evening after a day of travelling to be told I couldn’t get any hot food from the hotel, restaurant no longer opens and no bar food or room service. I was offered chocolate from reception and some restaurants that I could go to, this was disappointing I like to eat in the hotel and didn’t know this beforehand. Then, after the cleaning staff presumably seeing only one person sleeping in the room, the ‘second’ of everything disappears in the room. So extra towels, coffee and tea bags. Why, really? Are times that hard…? I went to make a second coffee and couldn’t believe the 2 had been replaced with 1. Many business travellers stay in this hotel and there are no irons in the room. I found that strange, I got one delivered and it is one without water, so I may aswell heated a brick in an oven and used that. The ironing board didn’t stand up straight and was so creased it actually put more creases into my shirt than after taking it out of my case.Where I was situated in the hotel, at around 5am there is a constant sound that starts for over an hour, every couple of minutes lasting around 10 seconds. It literally sounds like I’m next to a runway and a jet aircraft is taking off. I cannot work out what it is but glad I’m going home today!
