Location

This attractive city hotel is centrally located in the centre of Hamburg just a few minutes’ walk from the main train station. Shopping venues, nightclubs, bars and restaurants are to be found in the immediate vicinity and links to the public transport network can easily be reached on foot. The transfer time to the airport is approximately 30 minutes and there is a shuttle service free of charge for guests. The stops are at terminal 2 at the airport and in front of the hotel.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 6-storey building with a lift and 275 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     The hotel cancelled the reservation a month before my stay, and due to a booking miscommunication with Agoda I was charged the full amount of 400€ anyway. I reached out to the hotel about this but they did not respond. I would have liked a better communication to help solve my case.

    Fantastic HotelWe stay here very regularly and from check in to check out the Europäischer Hof experience is No;1 All the staff are exceptional in their work ethic and extremely knowledgeable. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed with a friendly smile. Rooms are of a very high standard and have all the amenities that you need. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the choices are fantastic and everything is freshly cooked and very substantial. I’d say the best breakfast in Hamburg. The piano bar has a fantastic range of beers, wine, cocktails etc in very good surroundings with very good and experienced staff. The new Wellness Spa has been newly renovated and top class. I’ve just heard the Europäischer Hof will close from November 4th for renovations. I really hope that they not take too long as this is our No 1 hotel in Hamburg.

    The hotel itself is old school with lots of winding hallways, a piano bar, and a nice dining room. A nice breakfast buffet was included in our room price. Be warned, there is no a/c in any of the rooms, but for Hamburg that isn’t an issue unless you hit an hot spell during the summer months. The star of the show is the spa! Five stories of fun including a swimming pool, hot tub, Finnish, Bio and Infrared sauna, steam room, fireplace, AND a water slide! I truly didn’t want to leave. The staff was wonderful, especially the blonde gentleman in the spa who taught me how to pour a beer the German way and looked out for me while in was in the sauna late in the evening. You could tell he truly loved his work.There are renovations going on, but we didn’t hear anything. And the location was perfect - literally right across the street from the train station. We would be glad to stay again, but this time make more time for the spa!

    we arrived late after missing a train connection with no booking . It was no problem for them to find us a room . there were only superior rooms available but they charged us the lower rate. the room was fabulous!!the breakfast was the best we have had , it was amazing .we have stayed here before and would definitely go back .

    I spend one night at The Europäische Hof in Hamburg. The rooms are clean the breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly. If you fancy German food, the restaurant/bar at the hotel called The Paulaner Wirtshaus is definitely worth a visit. It has typical German food and good German beer. I would recommend trying the Wienersnitzel it is very good!
