  #1104 is quite nice and with large beds.

  Checked in at 14.35, was told by Sandra, our room wasnt ready, anyways waited 5-7 min filling in formulars etc.Then she mentioned our room is ready ! Not alot info from her side other than i asked her the parking rules here, so just outside the hotel on the right side is free of charge, and also those opposite side as well, if you see the parking machines those cost money, so therefore first come first serve, although the hotel have parking our their own which cost €27 pr. day.We got room # 1104 which was quite alright, coffee/ tea amenities, and fridge for storage.No cleaning the next day and wasnt inform about it as well, so had to go to the reception to request new towels, and tissues etc.A bit annyoing though, but friendly receptionist was really nice to help out.Breakfast hostess was not so friendly, i mean a little smile wld have helped a bitBreakfast was good, had everything one needed as well, i am kinda hoping the staff wld be more friendly to greet ppl in the morning.The gym on the 18th floor was good, and love there was no opening/ closing restrictions like some other hotels does, Sauna didnt use it but saw it quite a big place.   Not the Customer Service hotel.

  Family trip with 5 year old boy and wife. Firsty the car park prices. 27 euro a day. Rip off. The fridge in our room was not working. I informed reception straight away, they told me it did work, i just needed to wait. Next morning, still not working, told reception again. That night still not working, I called reception and they said it was broken. They didn't contact me to ask what I'd like to do! I had to chase them! On the second night I asked to change rooms, they said they were fully booked. The food we purchased for our onward journey was spoiled. Next the "free drink" from the wheel of fortune thing, we won a free drink. I went to the bar, ordered two beers, gave my free drink voucher, I got 2 beers and a home made ice tea. It wasn't free drink, it was a free ice tea. Which was also given away free when you order a burger!! The room was small, there were marks on floor, location wasn't great.   Bad experience from a Holiday Inn member

  Not recommended. Rooms are so hot, staff won’t let you adjust temperature. Staff at the breakfast restaurant very rude. TV channels are all in German, you can only find 1 channel from London.This Hotel is not U.S. friendly.   It’s a nice hotel but

  It’s a nice hotel, with clean room (but without any complimentary bottle water), fully equipped but some things need to be changed. For example, the food in the restaurant is poor, low quality and expensive. I ordered a club sandwich 17€ and they brought me a small quarter toast with no French fries. Please see the picture below. As soon as I told it to the employees of restaurant they gave me a look like I’m an alien.   Excellent HI despite out of center location

  A vview is located north of city, 20mns drie to the Elbe and fish market, not an issue considering the price difference and the quality of the venue.It is a high rise tower of 18th floor, walking distance to Sbahn and with plenty street parking and their own underground parking with 2 e-chargers (7kW only) charge is included in the parking fee (27€) at the time of our stay. Word to mgmt : More chargers would be welcome, E cars are nowadays plentiful.Reception is tiny, but hall is big. All went well and they resolved the downgrade that happen ( I am Platinum, and booked a room with Sofa bed for our son, and was downgraded to an executive without sofa bed) they finally put us in 1115, excellent room, a pity this was not done automatically and lucky we were early enough for this to be possible.Corridors are totally uninspiring, nut the room was, for an HI, a level up with a view on Hamburg from the 11th floor. Bathroom is tiny, with a slippery hall tub, but ok for 1 or 2 nights max. No real closet were to set your suitcase content, just a hanger, and a tiny hanging closet with 1 shelf. That's the main room weakness, together with maintenance, torn bedhead lamp which should have been repaired a long time ago, broken plinth, but the view was mesmerising! So any room, southern side, above 10 th floor is above the next building facing south and provide an incredible skyline on HH.The venue is dotted with an incredible sauna on 18th and a solarium room, both with a view to a kill on Hamburg skyline. Breakfast was decent, coffee acceptable, juices are artificial, but pastries on the acceptable level too (croissant), nothing memorable.Receptionist are friendly but sometime struggling to support simple questions (how to charge, late check out, ...)We prepaid 137€ w/ breakfast, and parking was additional. It was quite OK considering Hamburg center hotels prices, starting at 140€ and excluding the b/fast. Expect a bit of Sbahn commute to center, but with a family I can recommend this business hotel.
