  Clean rooms, slightly small bed. The blanket was a bit too short for me. Breakfast was fine. I will use this brand again in the future. Only 15 min by taxi to/from the airport. Front denk staff was friendly and helpful.

  Hotel is very fresh and modern with a nice industrial design throughout the hotel.Staff were friendly and had no issues with my very basic german/people speaking english. However, the lobby was often a ghost town with no staff in either the bar, restaurant or reception - and no way to ring a bell for attention which meant I was often standing around for 5-10 minutes until someone appeared.The beds were comfortable although wasn't a major fan of the set up... as a couple travelling we had booked a queen room, it was two single beds pushed together with each having a single duvet. The mattresses also were not covered with a queen sized mattress cover, so the mattresses were constantly slipping apart with a gap between them.The storage unit for clothes only had a few hangers available and a few narrow shelves, so for 2 people being there for 3 nights the space was tight and messy and no where really practical to store things like socks.Shower okay, but slightly frustratingly could not adjust the height of the shower at all, which as a tall person caused me to have to duck around the shower when I should have been able to adjust it higher.I liked that if we chose to not have our room cleaned they gave us drinks vouchers to use at the bar (available on soft drinks, hot drinks or small beer).On final day, was happy to hold our luggage until the late evening when we headed to the airport.Practicality wise, I didn't pay too much attention when booking the journey that was needed into the city. The easiest route on public transport (taxis/ubers are pretty expensive) was to catch the 22 bus (less than a minute from the city) and then swap to the U-bahn at Kellinghusenstraße. Which takes about 20-25 minutes to get into the centre of the city. Buses are regular at peak times, but it's not as central as I would have liked. Have no plans to revisit hamburg as feel like we covered what we hoped to see - but would consider staying here again in future.

  No hospitality at all

  No confirmation of reservation until I insisted twice per email the day before travelling.Reception was a disgrace No English! No welcome, not a word of explanation about anything.Waited for 35 minutes (by the time I received my key it was midnight) as only guest to be checked in. Asked if there was any problem. They guy kept looking on my reservation form and his computer, didn't know how that worked clearly. He gave no explanation for the delay, no sorry for the inconvenience... BIG FAIL. When I asked if there was a minibar, he just didn't know what I was asking. Again I asked, is there water in the room... "Don't know sir". I went up and had to come back for buyig two bottles of water. Same guy from the reception worked in the bar. Had to uncork the bottle, but didn't until I phisically explained, there is no tool in the room to uncork this. Then he only uncorked one.... OMG!!!!!!The bed was so small, you couldn't turn around. Hotel room had no airconditioning or at least I couldn't find it, also no instructions on the room.Just a few hangers to put away your clothes, not fit for a multiple days stay.Walls are very thin, noise from both within as outside woke me up at 6am.

  As a non-German speaker, on a short trip to Hamburg, I found the Hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful if I needed any assistance or information. The rooms were clean and nicely presented and quiet at night if you needed to sleep. If I visit Hamburg again, I would have no problem with using the Niu Bricks Hotel again to stay in. Thank you to everyone involved.

  Great hotel, its close to a lot of hospitals (thats why i was there). Its very clean with a nice industrial interior design. They have a bar with drinks and maybe a snack. I love the fact that you can mirror your phone or ipad to the tv and watch whatever you want. The bed is very comfortable. The only thing i wish they had was a mini fridge in the room.
