  Basic, small sinle room but clean and comfortable.Excellent city location.Continental breakfast is served to the table. Choice is limited but then it is a very small hotel but it had everything to start the day.Staff super helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

  When I booked this hotel and read the reviews, I was a little curious what to expect, until I realized that all the negative reviews are about the small rooms.Stayed in a deluxe double room and had nothing to complain. Sure, it’s an old building - but that contributes to its charm. Not a big fan of carpet on the floor, but I guess that comes with the charm if an old building. Breakfast is served at the table and is more than sufficient according to western european standards.So, don’t hesirate if your budget allows one of the bigger rooms.

  Nothing, nothing suggests what an awful place it is before you arrive. They somehow managed to make nice pictures and show a pretty high ranking on booking.com. The prices are also pretty high, so nothing suggests you end up in a hole like this. It is literally a hole. Their normal rooms are 9 sqm including bathroom. I never ever stayed in my life in a room so small. Not even in Japan... The room is basically like a bigger coffin. They charge for this hole 82 Euros per night. Absolutely crazy. I told them that i will not stay here under no conditions and they kindly offered my a slightly bigger but as run-down room for the price of 140, which I had to accept due to late hour.... Dear owner, if you read it: this is disrespectful, non human and disgusting what you offer here and how you market it. The hotel is in a bigger multi-storied building called Dammtorpalast. A palace.... Even chickens would laugh seeing it. There are different hotels on each floor, it is basically like a condo but with run-down small hotels inside. A palace...)))The room itself stank. The carpets are old and smelly, the floor is shaking and if you walk in you room, the impression is that the whole "palace" is shaking. The walls in this royal place are so incredibly thin (honestly, how you managed to make an old building this noisy??) I could heat my neighbor in the next room snoring!! Dear reader, Hamburg is a marvelous city, don't spoil your visit by staying here.

  We spent one night at this hotel which is part of a group of hotels in an old palace. We came late at night and the concierge was waiting for us. The room ( for 3) was spacious and clean. Big enough bathroom with good shower pressure. The breakfast was served individually at the tables with a good bread quality and they even had gluten free choices of bread. The bus #5 stops a couple of meters away and it takes 10 minutes to the central station. We enjoyed our stay and would come back gladly.

  A cozy hotel in the heart of Hamburg. Walk-distance to the center of the city, and near the beautyful park planten und blomen. The staff was superb!! Very service minded and helpful! Breakfast was great! The rooms was nice but the beds was hard and the bathroom was tiny!! But after all we had a great stay!!
