  An excellent location and very friendly staff

  A very comfortable hotel with very friendly management and staff who (on our visit) were more than willing to try to make sure that our stay was a very pleasant one.Very spacious rooms that were clean with comfortable beds. Which can be at times one of the biggest factors about a hotel.As can be expected the hotel is non-smoking but there is a garden to the rear which despite being surrounded by tall buildings felt very peaceful at times.The only drawback to the hotel is that there is no lift and the entrance itself is up a set of steps. So depending on what floor that you are on it could be quite a little trek up the quirky spiral staircase.The hotel itself is on a quiet street even though when you get to the end of the street you hit the hustle and bustle of shops, food establishments, the theatre, bars, banks, a number of different ATM’s (some free to use while others charge for withdrawing cash) and the police station, it is like you’ve crossed between 2 different worlds.The hotel in ideal location because situated just around the corner from the hotel on the same main road as the shops, choice of food establishments, theatre, and the police station is a number of public transport connection stops meaning that you are free to explore the city and travel with relative ease.If you are planning on using public transport to get around the city then ensure that you purchase the “Hamburg Card” which gives unlimited travel on all HVV public services (bus and trains) including the harbour ferries. The card even includes travel to and from Hamburg Airport (providing you have a valid card), so when you consider that the average price of a taxi to or from the airport is around €35 - €40 each way then the savings start to add up straight away.The card can be bought for just a single traveller or valid for a group of up to 5 people regardless of the ages of travellers.The cost of the card (at the time of writing this review) is:1 Day — 1 person €11.90 — Group of up to 5 people €19.902 Days — 1 person €20.90 — Group of up to 5 people €35.903 Days — 1 person €29.90 — Group of up to 5 people €49.904 Days — 1 person €39.90 — Group of up to 5 people €66.905 Days — 1 person €46.90 — Group of up to 5 people €82.90As you can see for less than the cost of 2 individual cards 5 people can travel together. The card can be bought at various shops, hotels and the tourist information offices or through the dedicated app. As a bonus with the card you get a 50% discount at a large number of tourist attractions.Would I stay at the “Hotel Hamburger Perle” again?Definitely!!!

  Cozy and romantic, great location

  Small, cozy and very romantic hotel. Ideal for couples. We had a huge mirror right above the bed. The room was exactly as in the photos.The location is superb, 3 minutes walk from Reeperbahn.No fridge (if that's important to you).I would not recommend taking breakfast. It is too modest for 12,9€ per person.Otherwise, very recommendable place.

  First things first if your look for a decent hotel look else. This is just a step above a hostel. Now don't get me wrong for what we paid it was adequate. I does just what it says on the tin. Good things first, staff are friendly and helpful, location is very good 2 minutes from the Reeperbhan. Now the not so good stuff, when we arrived at 18.20 we we're told that our room was not ready but another one was if we wanted it but has not bathroom, it was down the hallway. As you can guess we waited. When we eventually got to our room it was quite good. 3 comfortable single beds and a nice big bathroom. One or two issues with the room. There was a glass door next to the beds leading out to a courtyard but unfortunately it was a glass door and as soon as the sun came up it flooded into the room. It could really do with a heavy curtin across it. The window in the bathroom was clear glass with a light frosted film on it but someone has removed some of the film so you could see in. When we got to the room there was a dirty pair of socks still in the wardrobe. really not acceptable. House keep was at best hit and miss but clean towels were delivered each day. All in all you get what you paid for. We did not have breakfast but what I saw if it , it was not worth it.I always finish with 2 questions. 1, would I return.. yes but I would not bring my wife there... 2. would I recommend it to a friend... maybe to a group if lads away for a weekend

  Staff were extremely helpful Room was s1 down a really steep set of stairs .the room itself had a strange configuration but was ultra modern and new . The furniture beds and bathroom all spanking new and spotlessly clean The beds were very comfortable and fluffy pillows . It was a little noisy when some late night revellers arrived home . Reception staff went the extra mile making us jugs of coffe and hot water for tea to take back to our room . We didn’t have the breakfast but it looked like the usual continental style bread meats and cheeses . I would r

  I always like to start off a review by stressing that you should take most reviews with a pinch of salt - as things like customer service, cleanliness, food, and location are all based on each individual person's own personal opinions - and we all have different standards and expectations.I can have no complaints about this hotel. Very good location just a five-minute walk to all the bars and restaurants and the beach. Very clean and tidy. Four of us in our room and very spacious. All very modern. It does not have air conditioning but did have a fan in the room.Would stay here again if returning to Hamburg.
