  For this budget, the hotel was perfectly reasonable. Nice breakfast buffet. Very clean. Room cleaned and towels changed daily. Helpful reception staff. Area is very vibrant and just a short stroll to the wonderful bars and restaurants of St Georg. It’s worth taking the quieter back streets when walking to and from the station as the main road can fee a little intimidating. If you’re on a budget and enjoy a vibrant night life, then this is a great choice.

  Fantastic location for getting around the City (especially on foot). thee breakfast was good, generous, varied and fresh (look out for the scrambled egg in a covered turine - we didn't find them for a few days. Very close to the central station and Hansaplatz which has some nice restautarant bars etc. Also close to Lange Reihe which is bigger with lots more restaurants and bars although a lot seemed to be Spanish/French/Portugese/Italian rather than Gernam. Situated on a street with a strong Turkish influence, lots of fresh fruit on sale so it's a shame we weren't self catering!! Also the street behind (which our room looked onto) had what appeared to 'house of ill repute' on it and attracted people that looked like they were 'a bit out of it' - lots of shouting at various points in the day/night and the police attended frequently. The hotel is a little tired and could do with an update but it is clean and the staff are friendly. Be aware if you have mobility issues though the lift only goes to the fourth floor and the breakfast room is up a spiral staircase to the fifth floor. I managed but with arthritis in both knees it was a struggle. It is very good value for money for a city centre hotel. I suppose the test is would I stay again and I'm happy to say I would.

  This is a very basic but acceptable hotel in a very busy street. It is very near to the U1 line and also near the bus and train stations. So it is brilliant if you want to use this as a base for travelling around Saxony. The breakfasts are monotonous but OK. They provide scrambled and boiled eggs but no bacon. It is clean But the main drawback was the lack of a safe. My bed was quite small but the pillow was poor.

  We were please that the additional bed was a proper full size bed for our 16 year old, and not a temporary one. Suitable breakfast to suit all our needs. Nice clean room, slightly small shower. Close to metro and main train line. We were lucky and parked right outside, but it seems that usually people park in the side streets that are free.   Fine room, bed and bathroom. The quality matches the price. Noise from the other rooms, but again fine for the price and for one night.. Breakfast was on the top floor and very good. Parking could be an issue here..
