Location

The airport hotel is located in the district Winterhude, better known as City Nord, between Hamburg Airport (5 km) and the main station (7 km). The City Park over the way - the green lung of Hamburg - is an inviting place for walking and relaxing. The metro and bus stations with direct connection to the city centre are only minutes away.

Facility

2 suites, 30 single rooms and 152 double rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Additional facilities include a library.     You can get to the Leonardo Hotel from Hamburg’s main train station by taxi for 23 euros. The hotel leaves a pleasant impression, and the bus stop to the subway is very close. The rooms do not have the smell of old furniture. The restaurant has a very attractive interior, but the breakfast is simply awful—we couldn’t find anything suitable for ourselves. This is very much in contrast with the otherwise quite appealing setting.     We were a group of 17 people and we had a great time in the hotel. Special thanks to Mr. Hassan at the front desk who made our stay very comfortable and who is always super polite and helpful. Good breakfast, decent rooms, far from the centre but close to the awesome city park and just minutes drive from the airport.     Best wake up alarm in the area (Rant)

    Besides being an ugly looking hotel, the rooms are ok. But! The drilling and hammering at 9AM was just unacceptable. Any conscientious hotel personnel would warn their customers about it and offer quieter rooms in case of a later check out. They didn't say anything and I got rudely awakened by this extremely loud drill noise. Talking about a wake up alarm...! Next time, why don't you wait for people to check out, instead of knocking them off of their sleep? We don't all have the same boring "businessman" type of job, and some people work late and could use the extra sleep. Not cool.     Good and abundant breakfast. The room was clean and big and the bed comfortable. Helpful staff. Some rooms are located on a floor without lift. The hotel location is a bit far from the center but the metro and the train are 5 min from the hotel. The overall impression was good and I would recommend it.
