  A lovely stay at the Hotel C. Jacob

  As a solo professional woman in her 50’s, it was my first time to Germany and I need not have worried or been so anxious about it. I reviewed about 15 hotels in Hamburg for my pre-cruise stay but was led to the Hotel St. Louis Jacob and was really glad I did. It’s the small things that makes a stay feel luxury and after being around the world, I loved the welcome card from Judith the GM. The hotel had a beautiful aura on the river bank and a breakfast room reminded me of New York in its glamour. Julia Hauffe helped me organise it and made me feel welcome which I appreciated.   We stayed at this charming hotel at the beginning of February 2025. The neighborhood of the hotel is not like in a 1.8 million city, but you feel like in a nice village. The furnishings of the hotel are of a high standard. The staff in particular contribute greatly to the feel-good factor in this hotel.   Never again. This hotel does not even have Aircondition. In no rooms! It is noisy from the street and the staff makes party in the little jacob until middle of the night. Then they trash the glass bottles when they finished their party.All in all it is a no go, especially for the price! Sandra Könke, Sonstige at Hotel Louis C. All our guest rooms are connected to a ventilation system which is controlled by our building services. We have a margin of 6 degrees.We are very sorry for the disturbance you had to put up with at night. It was not a staff party that you heard, it was the normal daily business of our wine bar.   Charming Louis C Jacobs

  Arrived late to the hotel but just managed to spend a some pleasant time in the sun at the terrace overlooking the Elbe. Arrived on a Monday, so not possible with half-board, but the small restaurant across the road provided good food. As always a good place to stay when in Hamburg or just travelling through Sandra Könke, Sonstige at Hotel Louis C.   Quiet and relaxing

  Comfortable, charming and wonderful service. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. It was very quiet, which was lovely. The breakfast was amazing, with a variety of north German specialties. The breakfast room overlooks the Elbe and was a wonderful place to linger. The living room was a charming place take tea with a fireplace and comfortable seating area. I have been to Hamburg many times, and this is the first time that I have stayed outside the city center.
