4 single rooms and 168 double rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift.     Booked this hotel last minute for a city break in Hamburg. The hotel was easy to reach using the S & U bahn trains and then walking around 10 minutes. Check in was quick and efficient and the staff were friendly and polite. The hotel has an on kiosk shop so if you need to get a drink or snack if arriving late there are a few options there. The rooms are basic but clean and functional. My only complaint is the lamps attached to the headboard could be situated better as it is very easy to bang you head etc on them.The hotel breakfast was good and there was a nice variety of hot & cold items such as various breads, meats, cheeses, wurst, eggs, fruit etc.We used the U Bahn mostly to get around Hamburg which was easy and convenient from the hotel. Some of the places we visited were the St. Nikolai memorial, Rathaus, Park Fiction, Reeperbahn and Miniatur Wunderland. We ate at Dulf's burgers which was delicious but service was a little slow here, Erika's Eck does delicious schnitzels & über Quell for pizza and beer.I would use this hotel as a base again in the future.     We really enjoyed our stay here recently. Our room, overlooking the racecourse was quite large, very clean and comfortable. The food at breakfast was plentiful and very good.     Loud environment, bad food , never again, nothing more to say. Take care of the parking ground, if you do a mistake with your license plate it will be horrible expensive.
