    Nice hotel, but a bit worn out

    Stayed there for two nites for busniess. Had a room under the roof and the window was not tight, so the wind blows through all the time, till stopping it with a towel. The room itself was huge, contradictive the bathroom was tiny (my experience with Novum hotels, maybe due to the additional installation). Breaky was good, although the corona separators make moving in the breaky room a bit complicated...Well located in a residential quartier, you can find everything you need in the vicinity. Good for a short stay.

    The hotel was just an average hotel outside the city to stay one or two nights. We stayed one night and was okay. The employers were nice. The breakfast also ok. The restaurant area has Good restaurants so everything worked out fine.

    Good hotel in social hotspot

    The Novum Hotel Hagemann in Hamburg is a modern and clean accomodation out of the city center. The sorroundings are a kind of social hotspot and most probably the reason for the low prices. The street in front of the hotel is for sure not the best place for a night walk - and even with the good glas pane it can be loud from outside. Not the best choice for a city trip with the family, but ok for a night on the way trough.

    We arrived friday and was greeted lovely. We had read the reviews and were skeptic, but again we got a lovely greeting.We read about the rats which is true, but they were down at the river, so not close to the hotel.The breakfast were ok and the bread was a little stale - but again, super awesome service.Saturday night rolls by and our safetybox stopped working. We had medicine in the safetybox which was life important, but the new man at the reception did not care (and could unfortunately not speak english).We didn’t get it open even though we know the keys are right behind him. He laughed at us. We asked for the boss’ number but he wouldn’t give it to us.I’m writing this review now as I’m not sure if we will be able to tomorrow. The arrogance is unbelievable and we even had someone to translate for us.Maybe it’s a misunderstanding - if so I’ll delete my review and make a new one.Everything else is nice here. The neighborhood is a little dodgy but great dining places. The bathrooms are great and clean. I hope the manager will contact us soon.

    Average accomodation with lovely breakfast

    We choose Novum based on price and that breakfast was included. The hotel was tidy, comfortable and the buffet breakfast was lovely. We ate our dinners at the ‘Best Chicken’ and ‘Pizzeria’ both within 2-3 minutes walking distance. The location is quite graffitied and noisy at night ( if windows are open - with no air conditioning we needed too). Ideal for bus and cruise port.Average accomodation with lovely breakfast.Karen F - New Zealand
