  terrible service at reception

  the guy at reception barely speaks English, he made me wait hours while i was trying to fetch the documents of the credit card holder who made the booking for us (they were arriving in the evening), only to tell me i could not check in unless i paid the whole stay in advance.

  A basic hotel (as expected) very clean and friendly helpful staff. We would definitely stay again. Bus stop 2 minutes away, recommend downloading HVV app, for bus/trains etc. no kettle in room. Lidl across the road and fridge in room.Small bar downstairs for hot and cold drinks.   Bit out of the way, but clean and friendly

  Had an amazing stay here over the weekend. Arrived on Friday and checked out on the Sunday. We had an economy room- the room was small, very basic, no tea or coffee in the room, bed very small, minimal storage. Room was clean though and beds made daily and towels changed daily. The hotel is over 2 floors, with our room being on the second floor, we were in room 267 which is a reasonable walk from the stairs and lift. The lift is old fashioned and very small, but worked perfectly well. Breakfast was ample and at the weekends is served until 11am. Continental breakfast with the option of scrambled egg, or boiled eggs, mushrooms. Restaurant staff were polite and helpful.The reception staff were exceptional, especially Karim and the gentleman from Afghanistan, they went out of their way to assist us when we needed it. Unfortunately the gentleman who worked the weekend of 15-17th December let his team down, we got back around 2 am on the 16th. The member of staff was rude and discourteous and also spat on the hotel steps outside, in front of guests. The main downside of the hotel is that it is out of the way, we were approximately 35-40 euros from the Airport and 18-22 euros every time we went anywhere. It is a minimum 10 minute walk to the rail station.   Extremely Poor Service and Double Booking Nightmare

  recently had a highly unpleasant experience at at this hotel in Hamburg during my visit in May. The hotel's double booking mistake left us without any accommodation upon arrival. It took nearly two hours of frustrating discussions and arguments before they finally admitted their mistake and acknowledged that there was no room available for us. To make matters worse, it took an additional two hours to find an alternative hotel in the city, and we had to pay an extra 3,000 euros for it.Considering that we had traveled a long distance, returning home was not a viable option for us. This whole ordeal left me deeply disappointed and shocked, as I have never encountered such abysmal service in any hotel around the world. The lack of assistance in finding an alternative solution only compounded the problem.Hamburg is a city with numerous hotels, and it is not unreasonable to expect a certain level of competence and professionalism from the hotel staff. Instead, we were met with indifference and an evident lack of concern for their customers' well-being. The suggestion to find another hotel ourselves, as if it were a simple task, only added insult to injury.Customer service should be a top priority for any reputable establishment, especially in the hospitality industry. Unfortunately, this particular hotel failed miserably in meeting even the most basic standards. I strongly advise anyone planning a trip to Hamburg to avoid this hotel at all costs. The inconvenience, stress, and unexpected financial burden that we endured are not worth the risk.It is my hope that by sharing this review on Trustpilot, other travelers will be made aware of the deplorable service provided by this hotel.   very disappointed about our stay Hello, First of all, I want to say that the rooms we stayed in didn't miss anything and were great. But around 1½ hour AFTER our check-in, someone knocked the door, and used a keycard to open the door? Apparently it was someone who worked at the hotel? What was he doing...I was going to take a shower so I was naked..
