  Hamburg’s Friendliest Hotel

  Our visit was wonderful from the moment Kate greeted us and did an exceptional job sharing her enthusiasm for all Hamburg has to offer. She became our go-to person for all questions during our stay and was the best representative of the hotel and Hamburg. We enjoyed the location to explore the port, Minature Wunderland, and walking around the city. The roof top terrace was the perfect place to enjoy snacks from the snack room and watch the sunset over the city. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. There is truly no better place to stay in Hamburg and we look forward to our return visit.

  Great hotel with very helpful and cheerful staff.Well positioned for all the main sightseeing attractions. Would recommend especially if you a planning a trip for Miniature Wonderland.

  Great hotel with helpful, friendly, approachable staff. The locker room is such a good idea and easy to use. Loved the tiny shop, entry with door key.It’s ideally placed for Minatur Wunderand which is about a 5 minute walk.No drawer space in the room, so it seemed a bit cluttered as we couldn’t put anything away.One crazy thing-brown toilet roll-need I say more!?

  Great for travelling with children

  Travelling as a family with small children for a long weekend in Hamburg. We booked a family room which was everything we could imagine we would need when travelling as a family - and some things we didn’t even realise would be great. First of all, the room had an actual table where we could sit together - assemble legos, draw, play one of the family games also supplied by the hotel (some even available in the room) and - when our kids had knocked themselves out at the nearby Lego discovery center - enjoy a take away from the very well stocked Edeka convenience store a few minutes from the hotel.Secondly, the TV was cleverly hidden, allowing us to dodge a number of arguments about whether to watch cartoon at all hours of the day.Most amazing, however, was the bunk beds, which was built in a sort of small room-in-the-room with a window, which meant that we could put the children to bed close to us, while still being able to use the rest of the room. Ingenious!Other nice touches were the children’s style coat hangers and bathroom accessories.However, we were disappointed to find out that the highly anticipated playroom was only open during specific events which had to be pre-booked and not at all during our 3-night stay. I think this should be more clearly stated on the webpage to avoid disappointment.Breakfast was ok, buffet style with mostly average quality produce. However, the homemade chocolate spread is highly recommended.Location is great, walking distance from e.g. Miniatur Wonderland, the aforementioned Lego Center, the philharmonics and the maritime museum - as well as a great, maritime themed playground. There are also a number of restaurants, supermarkets and shops nearby.All in all, we were happy with our stay, with the exception of the inaccessible playroom.
