Location

This luxury hotel lies by the Alster Canal in the heart of the city, within a few minutes' walk of the town house. The Binnenalster and the city's biggest shopping arcades are situated nearby. Underground and bus stops may easily be reached on foot.

Facility

The hotel was modernised as recently as 2023. The hotel has 222 rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A garage is available for parking (for a fee). Further services include room service, a laundry service and a page service. Daily newspapers are available for purchase. Lectures, presentations and meetings can be held in one of the 10 conference rooms.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience.     4 star hotel that ticks most of the boxes

    A 4-star hotel that pretty much ticks the boxes as you would expect. Good facilities. The only downside was the bar service and breakfast. What 4-star hotel bar doesn't serve Bloody Mary's?! Also, I was kept waiting for a beer, as the barman who was studying a cocktail book, when all he had to do was serve me a beer and go back to his recipe book. The breakfast is pretty average apart from the omelette station.     Great location, couldn’t be better for visiting the city. The underground is literally across the road and you are smack right in the centre, so can easily walk around the city. We went for the markets and they are great, one right outside the hotel, and at least five within five to ten minutes walk. The hotel was very clean, lovely staff with a good bar and restaurant, but are not open on a Sunday, that’s why I have given it 4* as a lot of bars and restaurants were also closed to, and markets finish early, it would be better to close on a Monday or Tuesday when other things are open for the convenience of people staying. All in all a very nice stay and if I was going back I definitely would stay here again, I would advise a river/canal view to.     Beautiful hotel in center of Hamburg

    We did not know of this hotel so this was the first time here although we've been to Hamburg 3-4 times before. Great location, great service, great big room and great gym - great in all. Also the breakfast was very nice. Would def. recomment.     Amazing stay at Steigenberger

    We had an amazing couples holiday staying at Steigenberger Hotel in Hamborg! The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the room was large with very comfortable beds and a beautiful view of the canal. Breakfast was really good with so many delicious things to choose from.     Location is great – right in the centre and just opposite the S Bahn direct from the airport. 2 mins to the main shopping street leading to the town hall and lakes etc. 5 mins walks to the riverboats. The room was perfect. It had everything. Uber comfortable bed. They could have pointed out the digital controls for the aircon and impressive room lighting, which once found are impressive. Décor is restrained, modern and luxurious but understated. Excellent breakfast buffet. The hotel is really quiet with no noise from outside or inside. The only negatives; while there is a bar in the upmarket restaurant there is no ‘general’ bar area and the lobby is small for the size of hotel.
