    Absolutely charming hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff imaginable. Close proximity to the adorable town centre and lovely parks makes for short walks to both. Nice breakfast buffet, but the Italian restaurant does not deliver on value for money - subjective view. Nice clean and quiet room with comfortable beds. We would love to come back.

    Not the Luxury Experience They Promise – Disappointing Stay

    I booked this hotel expecting a five-star experience (based on their own website), but unfortunately, it fell far short. At best, it should be rated three stars.The website highlights a beautiful historic building, but that’s not where most guests actually stay. Instead, you’re placed in a dull 1980s annex behind it (see photo), which was quite a letdown and felt misleading.Worse, during my stay, the hotel was undergoing extensive renovations. Construction noise started early and continued throughout the day, yet when I asked to be moved, I was told all floors were affected—unless I wanted to pay an extra €100 for a suite. That’s not what I expect from a so-called luxury hotel.Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I wouldn’t return. I think other travelers deserve to know what they’re really getting. This simply isn’t the upscale experience it claims to be. In fact, during your stay, there were only two brief core drillings, which lasted no longer than ten minutes in total. For the past fourteen days, there have been no construction activities whatsoever. The work prior to that was solely for the installation of a new air conditioning system—a technically complex but not noisy process. We are truly sorry if you still felt disturbed.Regarding your comment about room allocation, we understand that you would have preferred a room in the historic part of the building. We do offer different room categories, which are transparently described on our website.
