Location

The hotel, with its unique location, is situated between the historic city of Hanover and the modern trade fair city of Laatzen. It is only 200 m to all trade fairs, exhibitions and conferences at the Hanover Fair. Guests can easily reach the sites with all public transport options. The optimal location of the hotel guarantees a convenient arrival via the A7 and A2 motorways. Hanover Airport is approximately 15 km away.

Facility

60 single rooms and 60 double rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include 24-hour room service and a laundry service. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has 120 non-smoking rooms.

    In our group several of us had asked for separate beds but got one double. Me and my husband got separate.The bar, opening hours were 5 pm ’til midnight, announced both on the internet and in every room. In fact it was not open at all.The woman in the reception sighed loudly when we asked for something, for example a glass for the drinks we bought from the cooler. Or some nuts.The soap in the shower was empty.I wanted some pepper for my scrambled eggs and used the one with a big P on it. It contained salt.

    Not what I expect of a Ramada hotel

    If you are here for an exhibition- the location is great. Just a few minutes to the entrance. The guy at the reception simply handed me my room key, no explanations. Room was clean, yet no info folder about the hotel or the area, no additional items in the bathroom like actual soap or a vanity kit. We were rudely told in the evening that the bar was closed- during one of the biggest exhibitions. Breakfast was ok, though there were no explanations for the danish/croissants (if I see a regular croissant I expect a regular croissant, not filled with jelly), the rolls were pretty hard. Not very impressive.

    Disappointing experience with the reservation

    I have booked accommodation via booking.com. Original booking was from 6.11. till 11.11.2019. Price including VAT was 1.159,85 EUR, therefore 231,97 EUR/night. 29.10.2019 I have shortened my stay to 7.11. till 11.11.2019. Price including VAT was 1051,98, therefore 262.99 EUR/night. When changing my reservation, I have not been informed about the price change.What was my surprise when I have arrived to the hotel:1. The hotel was not informed about the change in the reservation and wanted to charge me for that. Luckily they didnt!2. The hotel staff was asking me if I have another person with me and a child. After checking once again, I found out that I have on my reservation really stated accommodation for 2 adult people and 1 child which I have never ordered. On the other hand on the page where I can make changes on booking.com (and where I was always looking) on my accommodation there is stated that the accommodation is for 1 adult person. Which one is correct then?????3. The price they announced to me when checking in on site was around 107 EUR/night for first 2 nights and around 411 EUR/night for the two remaining nights. Therefore something different to what I have agreed when booking the room. We have company policy regarding to the prices and it is a big surprise for me that suddenly I have about 411 EUR/night on my bill.4. I wanted to shorten my stay in the hotel due to the above, but after check in in the hotel the change was not possible on booking.com. The only information was: please contact the property if you require any changes. The hotel receptionist refused to shorten my stay, referring to the conditions of booking.com and the fact that I have shortened my stay already. Even though I wanted to make the change 24 in case of Saturday night/48 hours in case of Sunday night beforehand. Necessary to say that the receptionist on Friday morning told me to come later to speak to her colleague (as she is there only to help from Dortmund and doesnt know if she can cancel). When talking to this colleague (the same guy I have met when checking in), he told me that if I would have make the change yesterday he would make it, but because I have canceled also the night 6.11. he will not do it. This was unpleasant situation for me as I have to stay in the hotel I didnt want to be in under these conditions. This situation is very disappointing for me as I am often user of booking.com both private and business. As one of the main decision makers in our company, I have to say that I will reconsider using booking.com and hotels Ramada.Both, the hotel and booking.com were contacted, but necessary to say that the coordination between them doesnt work!
