    Great place to stay

    rating27 Jun 2022

We stayed here as we were visiting Hessisch Oldendorf for the VW show, it’s quite close and an easy drive to get there in the mornings. We arrived very late on the Friday evening so the reception was closed, luckily one of our party spoke German so a quick phone call allowed us to get our keys from a locked security box at the side of the building. As we were late, they had sent us a text in German with instructions telling us how to get the keys. I didn’t get mine until I connected to the WiFi in the hotel as my phone provider from the U.K. was crap as usual. The room was very clean and functional, it was on the second floor. No tea and coffee facilities or a fridge in the room. There was a TV but I didn’t use it but there is a guide for the channels available. Towels were provided and the en-suite was very spacious and clean.Breakfast was plentiful, the dining area was very light, clean and modern. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful.I visited our friends room on the first floor, the whole floor has been refurbished and it looks like the hotel is slowly being upgraded. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Hamelin.Parking in the street outside has to be paid for between 9am and 2pm, you can get a parking pass from the hotel to park in local car parks to avoid any tickets. The local church bells start ringing at 6am on the Saturday and at 7am on the Sunday.

The Hotel Zur Börse is a good choice!

    rating02 Feb 2020

We had a marvellous time staying in the hotel for one night. The service was outstanding from the young female receptionist! She was very friendly indeed in answering all our questions whether it was about parking the car, suggestions about restaurants or special places to see.The room itself together with the bathroom was simple, yet cosy. The breakfast was overwhelming in every aspect of the word. A very nice view from the restaurant to the road and the neighbouring area, and a very cozy and friendly atmosphere, nice colours, a very serviceminded staff and last, but not least a written sign on the different things on the breakfast table! Coming to Hameln again this hotel would most certainly be on a top 5 list and hopefully available for us again KatjaG464, Inhaber at Hotel Zur Borse, responded to this review Dear pederf2020,thank you very much for your very kind feedback.Looking forward to your next visit.Best regardsKatja Güse-Sulimma (Owner)

    Don't arrive after 10pm...!

    rating30 Sept 2019

Worst hotel experience I've had for many a year.! Arrived late ( gone midnight ) after a long drive down from Hamburg. No night porter after 10pm only a voice on the phone , when I asked where I could park I was told I can park on the street but have to move my car by 6am..! There was no car parking open nearby and ended up parking some kilometers away in a zone that would let me park till 9am. Room is vary basic and noisy as on a road that gets busy after 6am, also the stairs have no carpets so you hear people up and down them as I was last room by the stairs. When I questioned the issue with the front desk the next day the young women told me well you did check in after 10pm and that's our policy for late check in's.. So pretty much tough luck !! Great customer service. I'd not stay here again and for the money and servcie it's a 1 star at best !! KatjaG464, Inhaber at Hotel Zur Borse, responded to this review Dear guest, there is no service at our reception from 10pm or 11pm (depends an the day) and 6am. During this time, a night porter from our partner hotel by phone holds the position. I'm sorry you wern't recommend a good alternative to parking.Nevertheless, I would be very happy if you visit us another time!Best regardsKatja Güse-Sulimma from Hotel zur Börse

    Well Located Hotel in Hameln

    rating03 Sept 2019

We stayed 2 nights in Hameln at the Hotel Zur Börse (Boerse if you can't make the ö symbol). It was a nice hotel with a really good breakfast buffet that is included in the price of the room. From the hotel, it is barely a 10 minute walk to the central part of Hameln (Altstadt) and lots of pedestrian walking areas. The rooms were relatively large, clean, albeit a bit outdated with regards to decor and furniture. Not worn out or broken, just well cared for but more 1990's style. It has an elevator so if you have heavy bags as we did, it is a blessing. I had to carry my bags up multiple flights of stairs in other places we stayed so this was a nice touch.Parking will cost extra since there is little to no on-street parking anywhere nearby. I believe we paid around 7 Euros per night to park directly across the street in an underground garage. The hotel staff were efficient but not too talkative...I speak fluent German so that helped a lot. Again, the breakfast buffet was first class - very typically German with eggs, sausages, breads, various cheeses, sliced meats, 3 kinds of Müsli, juices, espresso, coffee, etc. You won't leave hungry!Overall not a bad place and the price is within reason for the hotel's central location. Hameln is a cute little town...not overly crowded with tourists and a good place to learn about their story of the Rattenfänger (Pied Piper) of Hameln!

    Hotel Zur Borse Hameln

    rating24 Sept 2018

This 3 story high (elevator is available) hotel is located on walking distance of the centre of Hameln, rooms are spacious and clean but could use a make over freshing up everything. The evening bar is open untill 23.00 hours and the restaurant where breakfast is served looks modern and cosy. The breakfast itself offers the well known variety of ingrediants and the quality is good, the staf is very friendly. KatjaG464, Manager at Hotel Zur Borse, responded to this review Dear Ervin, thank you very much for your kind feedback.I am very happy that you liked our hotel. We will renovate our hotel gradually.Best regardsKatja Güse-Sulimma (Manager)
