    Lovely hotel in old castle.

Large bathroom ,very handicap accessible. There was no opportunity to make coffee and tea in the room.Security cabinet was very small - could not hold a LaptopThere was a lack of outdoor dining since the restaurant is located on the 1st floor in beautiful rooms.Breakfast buffet was rich with crispy bacon 😊

Good hotel - do not eat there!

    rating30 Jul 2020

The hotel is really good and it can be recommended to stay overnight there. It is clean and neat and the location on the edge of the old town is great. Parking is a challenge, but this is always the case in medieval towns.BUTDo not eat at the restaurant. It was one of the most bizarre experiences we have ever had. First we ordered a glass of sparkling wine as a drink to start with. So the waiter suggested taking our wine glass now as we did not want wine for the meal. When we ordered the food, we also wanted to order wine, but a new waiter said there was an error on the wine list. It had not been updated, so they did not have what was on the map. When asked what they had then, she replied that she did not know, but they did not have wine in bottles.A look around the restaurant revealed three large wine racks with lots of bottles, but it was obviously not for sale. However, she could sell us half a liter of red wine in a carafe and asked if it should be semi-dry or dry. We chose a dry one.The food was lousy. The salad was poured over with a thousand island dressing that I can buy at the local supermarket. Several ingredients had been forgotten, and not least, the fried goat cheese was not fried at all. We sent a lot out again.WE looked around at the other guests and they all got wine in carafes. We ordered a new carafe and were asked which wine we would drink ……. A little surprising, but we replied that we would like the same. It was obviously sold out, so we got another wine without any explanation. On the bill subsequently, the two glasses of sect were not listed at all. It says that we first got half a liter of one kind of red wine and afterwards 2 X 0.2 liters of another red wine. The latter is also wrong.Breakfast is served in the same restaurant (and it is good). Here we took the opportunity to just look at the red wine on the top shelf in one of the wine racks. It was exactly one of the red wine that had been on the wine list, but which she claimed not to be able to sell. However, it is still the most mysterious. A restaurant with a wine racks with bottled wine, but who claims that they have nothing, and when you self look for it, the wine is on the shelf.Just explain who can?

    Good hotel in old town

    rating17 Sept 2019

While this hotel looks less impressive and has a rather typical modern interior we think its location in the old town not far from the market square and its reasonable price make this hotel one of the best choices to stay in Quedlinburg. The hotel has a fee parking inside the hotel but you can also park the car at the open garage for free but you need to drive around from hotel to the parking place due to the one-way limit. It just takes 5 minutes to reach there. Breakfast is quite good with more choices and lots of juices.

    No climat control

    rating24 Jun 2019

They gave me an attic room, no airco, just a ventilator, outside it was over 30C.In the evening it cooled down a bit, so I opened the 2 windows and let the ventilator blow for an hour.Did help, so the night wasn’t too bad.Room was ok, breakfast was good.Next time I must go for the more modern hotels. One more thing : the lift made very strange noises, I saw a mechanic from Otis, but he didn’t do much, because the next day it wasn’t any better. It must have scared the older guests, because I saw them crawling up the stairs.

Weekend visit into the Former East German

Excellent hotel and courteous professional staff. Rooms were large and comfortable in a great middle of town location. I should not have been surprised that everyone I spoke with spoke not only English, but also Russian.
