Great Hotel for an Overnight Stay

    rating02 Jul 2022

Stayed here on the way from southern Germany to the Baltic Sea. Great location close to the Autobahn, breakfast for any dietary needs, friendly bartenders, nice rooms. Not a good location for strolling around the neighborhood and getting a bite to eat, but if you're there for the Messe or want to be close to the Autobahn or airport, it's great. 15 minute drive into the city. Not really that great for an extended stay (no dresser or closet), but awesome for a quick overnighter. Will return.

The hotel in on German standard, the service in ok, the cleaning oh hotel great, room ok, bed si super, and breakfast can offer more. But for business is ok. Big benefits is that is near to Congress center, Airport and to the Center City need 15 min. Modern rooms, friendly staff. Bad airco, restaurant not so good

    rating16 May 2019

Rooms are modern, don't expect any storage space. Air-conditioning was noon existent. Always to hot in our rooms. Staff was friendly. The hotel is on the outskirts of Leipzig near a outlet mall. We drove to the city and parked for five Euros a day at the train station. The breakfast is good but for dinner I would go somewhere else. Waiters were not interested and food was not very tasty and dry. To much salt and have prices. And no normal soft drinks. Only fritz drinks.

Conveniently located nearby Messe, good and price-worthy breakfast, contrary to rooms too small for the price asked

    rating01 Jan 2019

I stayed 4 nights while attending the Chaos Communication Congress 2018 (35C3 for insiders) in the last week of December 2018. For this purpose, the location is very convenient at 15 minutes on foot from Messe Halle and Congress Center. For any other purpose, the distance to the city center and its many sightseeing objects makes it less attractive (12 tram stops to city). What impressed me the most was the breakfast ad 10 euro, that nevertheless offered much more assortment and quality than I’ve seen with hotels that ask fancy prices around 25 euro for something that is worth much less. Ample stock of everything, and replenished frequently when needed. What impressed me not so much was the small size of the room and the smallish work desk, both not worth the around 200 euro per night I paid. I was lucky to be a solo traveler, as there was not even a second chair to sit on. The rooms were sound-proof, though, as I heard no noise from corridor nor from neighboring rooms. Finally, not the end of the world yet very inconvenient nevertheless, was the need to provide a user-id for the WiFi several times a day. Unnecessary and cumbersome, especially when owning more than one WiFi-capable device (I had three).

Never again if I don't have to

    rating30 Dec 2018

Let's start with the positive: The hotel is super close to the Messe, modern, and the staff is friendly. Except for the aircon the sound insulation is good which would make for a quiet room. The negative: The ventilation / air condition varies between very noisy and extremely noisy and can't be fully turned off. So sleeping without earplugs is totally impossible. The courtyard features floodlight right into the rooms all night. The thick curtains don't manage to keep the light out at all. So the room is brightly lit all night and the light pollution is extreme.Seriously, why do you hate your guests and try hard to not have them sleep? The value for the price is totally out of hand. > 200 per night for that hotel is just totally unreasonable. If it wasn't for the proximity to the Messe, I would not see any good reason to stay there.
