    So Noisy - little sleep

    The rooms do not have air conditioning so it is difficult to sleep with the windows shut during hot weather, Due to the location, the constant street noise from drunken people, cars, police sirens etc with the windows open is unbearable. My room was basic but clean enough and the breakfast was okay. Good location for the train station and the centre but this is NOT a 4 star hotel. I would NOT stay here again.

    Grossly negligent and unprofessional!

    We stood in front of a locked door for 1.5 hours (03:30 - 05:00) in the middle of the night because the reception was unattended and the front door was locked.The next day, we were candidly told that the relevant employee had locked himself in the basement and had to free himself with tools.There was no reason to apologize or to offer any compensation—on the contrary, the receptionist told us verbatim that "the hotel couldn't help it if the colleague locked himself in" and that a guest stranded in the rain near the main train station in the middle of the night was no reason to reduce the room rate or make other concessions.The hotel management, which was not available on-site and to whom we were referred via email for further clarification, did not manage to respond within a week.Overall, a shockingly unprofessional experience—we can only advise against staying here under any circumstances.By the way: The rooms are spacious but visibly aged, and the breakfast is outdated.

    Great location next to mall and public parking (west at train station is cheaper, but further from hotel and mall, Marriot too pricy). Very friendly staff, 24/7 reception service, superb clean, great breakfast, coffee and tee in room, aask for a room with xx7 as those are on a corner of the building. Bed, pillows and beddings wonderfull. Missed only a smoking corner somewhere outside to sit down. Will come soon again back.

    Effective multi lingual receptionist gave us a superb room with great views and amenities. Ma****, then found us the extra supplies and equipment we needed.He knew all answers to all of our many questions. Easy walk from the Bahnhof and easy walk to the sights of Altstadt. Fantastic breakfast. The scrambled eggs were great as were the freshness of the tomatoes and cucumbers.

    I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The rooms were dirty and we even got a room that someone had just left. Reception could not organise irons for guests travelling on business. When they finally managed to get an iron it was old and dirty. The staff were unsympathetic and unable to communicate in English; a phone translator was necessary. The hotel is not up to the standards of 4-star hotels. This was our last visit to this hotel.
