  The room was a really nice size with a good bathroom and seating area however;Toilet seat wasn't soft close.Shower water temperature was very changeable even during a short shower.There was no air-conditioning and on the 3rd floor with only a small window the nights were uncomfortably warm.The bed was incredible hard so didn't sleep well either night.It was a double room but with 2 single beds & duvets pushed together so not very "romantic".Sauna was only open 1 of the 2 nights we were there and the "heated" pool was decidedly nippy (cold).Breakfast however was excellent with a good array of choices and when you get the right table beautiful views out over the lake and harbour. Chandeliers are also beautiful.Location wise it was as good as it gets a right opposite the train station.

  Old school elegance here in Lindau. Satisfactory 3 night stay. Good location, breakfast plentiful, staff friendly. Could use a little updating in the common areas but otherwise fine.   Booking is a shambles - go somewhere else.

  I have been trying to make reservations to attend the opera next year for over a month. I’d like to get this arranged before booking my flights.It’s been the most frustrating experience you can possibly imagine. If I phone up I’m made to feel like a hindrance not a valued customer wanting to spend over €2000.I get told to send an email, which is hopeless and I’m unable to discuss my requirements or options. Apparently there’s only one person dealing with the opera package and he’s impossible to get hold of. How you can possibly run a business like this is beyond me. There’s only one solution - give up, and go somewhere else where your custom is valued.   We did not particularly enjoy our experience. We found the room outdated and most of the hotel to be past its prime.Food was just ok, service non-existent and nothing stood out for the prices they charge.   Do not stay at this location. Staff at the front desk were consistently rude and confused during our entire stay. They will not greet you. They appear annoyed if you try to ask for any help. They will also not help you with your bags (even as you’re struggling to drag them up the stairs.) The entire hotel is also very confusing for a guest because this hotel is connected to two others and they share different restaurants for room service. It is easy to get lost. Rooms are very dated. Electricity does not work unless you leave your room key near the door in a slot. No deadbolt on door available. Beds are uncomfortable. Cleaning staff was inconsistent with how they cleaned the room. It is very easy to slip and fall in the bathroom. No shower door or curtain, so you will soak the floor after each shower. The cafe facing the water has a nice view and the waiters are all very friendly. But you can enjoy it more without staying here.
