  I was on a short stipvisit in the course of a business trip, everything worked out great. Great breakfast. Generally very warm staff!   In the bar there is great service and the food is very good. The room is classically decorated and clean. Parking was easily possible.   Short trip to Magdeburg

  We had a short stay at the Achat Hotel. Equipped with an underground car park which is absolutely standard equitably affordable. The room has everything you need, even with Dreamlike bathtub. The breakfast buffet was very large and had a lot to offer. I as a non coffee drinker recommend the cocoa, and the scrambled eggs were super seasoned to the point. Rarely had such a good breakfast. Absolutely top is the service, great team. Would definitely come back.   Anything other than amazing

  I do not know whether to laugh or cry at the statement "Amazing Hotel" on the English website of this hotel. What I do know is that the opposite is true. I was here on a business trip and one of my managers looked in amazement when we reached the foyer and asked me "Are we in Russia?" Yes, it certainly looks as if this hotel was built in GDR times and never updated. It is definitely not 4 star. I have seen and received better in 2 star hotels in Berlin for example. However, let us come to the facts which are embarrassing for a "4 star"hotel- I would call this hotel a "IKEA" hotel. Full of wood in the room particularly but little else- No mini-bar or coffee facilities which are standard for a 4 star hotel- 2 hangers available.....Seriously?????- This is the first hotel that I have ever being in where you could not put a sign on the door knob saying that you wanted your room to be serviced. 4 days is a long time without service. You guys want to get as much from the customer without spending anything when they stay there. - There was no soap available. I had to get into the bath tub to get shower gel. Embarrassing for a so called 4 star hotel- This is the first hotel where I was not asked for my room number or breakfast voucher at breakfast. Staff just did not care. I would advise nobody to pay for breakfast. You can have it for free!Added to this and this has been mentioned a number of times on the reviews but also by the 2 bosses that I was with was the receptionist with glasses who worked during the evening time. She is the rudest person that I have seen working in a hotel. I am not going into the incidents. However, that she is allowed to get away being so unfriendly tells me all that I need to know about the hotel.Breakfast was adequate if busy early on in the morning. Therefore is a good selection of food and the coffee was excellent. The pool was also adequate but the gym was tiny and definitely not worth going to.The hotel is located in a middle of nowhere area approximately 5km from the centre of Magdeburg. If you like interesting places near to your hotel, forget this place.I have seldom being so glad to be out of a hotel in my life. The only good things apart from the breakfast was that each evening, I got a decent night's sleep and I did not have to pay for staying at this place! Subjecting my family to this would be too much for me.   Staid here for one night while on a small conference in the hotel.It is a typical German style hotel, with average rooms that need refurbishing and update to modern standards. It was clean though. Reception service was good, although why 60 of us could not check in 1 hour earlier than usual check in is a mistery to me.Breakfast was standard German so solid for this class of hotel.They had parking underground for no additional fee which was nice, but without charging.All together, average hotel.
