    Simple hotel for an overnight stop or a short stay to discover downtown Mainz

    Typical budget hotel with simple rooms and breakfast buffet. The hotel is next to the main train station at walking distance from the old center (approx. 2 km). It is easy to get there from the highway, and there is a small parking (with some charging stations; 10 euro though if you want to use the parking). The rooms are simple but fit-for-purpose, including small but nice family rooms with a double and a bunk bed. Check-in was easy, with a code instead of a key card.

    NEVER book this hotel, the AC had dirt all over. There wasn't any receptionist only a machine when we came at 11pm. The door had a spider web on it, the room smells, and a few insects all over. If you can, book something else. NEVER coming back..

    No-frills, reasonably priced hotel near Mainz HBF

    No-frills hotel, a few minutes walk from Mainz HBF. You have to go through a tunnel to reach it. Checkin is quick and self-checkout is available. The room is good for a short stay, just 2 small beds, a build in table for eating, 2 stools, a place to hang clothes, a TV with mostly German channels. The shower is consistently hot and water pressure is strong. The hotel is also near the Old Jewish Cemetery (which was closed for some renovations). There is vending machine to get some water, soda, snacks, by the lobby. Breakfast is available. Even though my room is by the road, its quiet and sound-proofed. Internet was quiet good and fast.Overall i liked it, its clean and sufficient for a solo traveller looking for an affordable room to stay in.

    I picked this motel based mostly on the close proximity to the train station. It’s maybe an 8 minute walk. Easy and safe. You do have to go under the train overpass, which has some pigeons and pigeon droppings in it. My room was small, but it worked well for me. Besides the bed, the was also a small table, two end tables, and a wardrobe. The bathroom was also small, but the sink did have room for my toiletries.I opted for no housekeeping, instead going to the front desk when I needed towels or toilet paper.The front desk employees were always extremely friendly and helpful. Genuinely nice people.I did not eat the breakfast (extra charge), so I can’t comment on that.I would definitely stay here again.

    Great experience „lost and found“

    I made a very short term reservation yesterday night due to the upcoming weather conditions and finally checked in after 11 pm without any problem and nice staff. The room was as known by B&B. This morning I left my health tracker in the room. Thanks to the fast and great support and by Katharina Fischer who checked and found the item we can organize it coming back to me. Big thanks again!
