This hotel is located on the left-hand bank of the River Rhine, on the outskirts of Mainz's picturesque old town. The historical centre is just a few minutes walk away and both the Rheingoldhalle congress centre and the city casino are to be found in the near vicinity. Frankfurt airport is around 20 km away.

Facility

433 rooms, including 20 suites, 30 single rooms and 200 double rooms, are available to guests. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     The hotel has an excellent location, close to the city center and by the river Rhine. I had a newly renovated room with wonderful water views, and Malika at check-in was particularly great.     As a lifetime Diamond member I have come to expect a certain level of standards with Hilton properties. This property met all my expectations. The staff was polite and both our rooms were upgraded to Junior suites with a view of the Rhine. We have family and friends in Mainz and this will be our go-to hotel from this point onwards. At Breakfast they had a nice spread which was great since each of us in our family have different tastes. Altstadt was walking distance away which was great. Thanks Mainz Hilton for making our stay memorable.     Negative experience. Be careful to what the reception mgr confirms verbally. Totally false, and protesting at the check-out, the check-otu staff mgr claim that was not remembered by the check-in staff, since it was verbally they were not responsable ....     Perfect After an Overnight Flight to Frankfurt

    Stayed for 1 night while on a business trip. 15 minute walk down the hill from the train station. Got upgraded to a Rhine-view room and it was ready at 1pm. Modern room with rain shower and air conditioning (I opened the window for even cooler air during the night). Bed was very comfortable. As far as amenities, Lidl is less than 10 minutes walk away as it the Cathedral and Old Town. Overall, a very comfortable stay in a lovely room.     Room for Improvement

    I stayed there for one night, twin room, booked as Diamond member. Positives:- The lady at the front desk was very friendly and offered an upgrade to a river view room.- The room rate was reasonable.- The river view was really nice.Negatives:- When we entered the room, there was a half empty water bottle on the desk. One of the beds had used sheets. They gave us another room then...- The window was stuck and couldn't been opened, not even a little bit.- Only one pair of slippers (attached to one of the bathrobes, the other pair was missing)- Small room and very small bathroom- Only one of the twin beds had a power outlet nearby, the other side had no power outlet.- The metal trash can in the bathroom looked like it was used like a soccer ball for practice.- You must expect long waiting lines at the front desk if one of the many airline crews just arrived or checks out.- The self-parking was quite expensive (34 Euro per night). There is another, public garage adjacent to the building, but I didn't check whether this was cheaper or not. We also take your comments regarding the window that cannot be opened, the missing second pair of slippers, the damaged bathroom bin, and the limited availability of power sockets at one of the beds very seriously. Such details are crucial for the comfort of our guests, and we will review the mentioned points and take appropriate action. Regarding possible waiting times at the reception, we regret the inconvenience caused. Due to our cooperation with airlines, there may be periods of increased guest volume. Of course, we continuously work to make our processes efficient and to keep waiting times as short as possible. We also appreciate your remark regarding the parking fees. Due to our central location, prices are based on local conditions. We are happy to inform our guests about alternative parking options in the area at any time.
