    The hotel is nice and comfortable. They don’t have a restaurant so a bit inconvenient if you’re looking to stay in. Staff was helpful and the location is not too bad.

    This modern hotel is good for business travel. Room is simple but clean and comfortable. Room is lacking a table for working at, but lobby has spaces to easily work. Breakfast buffet had good brotchen and cheese. Staff were awesome - definitely catering to a younger crowd so more of a hip vibe than upscale or sophisticated. Not a lot of food nearby - but a quick walk or uber will get you to nearby restaurants.

    I often stay at IHG family properties, but The Niu brand was a first for me. The price level compared to other hotels in the area made me a little worried that it might be a no frills budget brand. This hotel exceeded my expectations in all aspects.The front desk person at check-in was very pleasant and informative. The room was quite large with a dragon design on the carpet, which was a cool surprise. The lighting was good and there was a refrigerator, a microwave, a safe, and a stunning amount of shelves and closet space. The bathroom was also very spacious and clean.Most hotels in Germany have a good breakfast offering, but the breakfast at The Niu, Mood Mainz was upper tier level. There was a wide variety of foods available and everything I tried was very good. There was also a lot of seating available although it seemed to be a bit crowded later in the morning around 10am.The location is a bit behind the Mainz Hbf, which can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. Parking was available in the well lit underground garage for EUR 15 per night.The Holiday Inn - The Niu, Mood Mainz impressed me as a great value and I would definitely stay there again on future visits to Mainz.

    Location: easy, quick, and safe walk to the Mainz Hbf. Right across the street from the UNESCO Old Jewish Cemetery. Of note, minimal restaurants and grocery stores around - I had to walk back to the train station area one evening for dinner. Room: new, clean, and spacious. I really liked the “free drink” option per day instead of housekeeping.Reception staff: friendly and efficient.Food: I can’t comment on breakfast, as I didn’t have it included in my room. Of note, per usual hotel standards, if you pay for breakfast on its own, it’s very expensive and not worth the price. I was disappointed with their “delectable food menu” in the evening. They only offered one basic pizza and one taste/egg based pizza from their small menu. Thus, my walk back to the Hbf area for some food on my last night.

    Very unhelpful staff. Basic room. Basic breakfast, good tea selection. 3 ciffee machines. Good location close to train station. Did not allow anyone to check in before 3.00 p.m., despite rooms being ready
