  Pampered in a historical spa hotel

  Quiet location away from traffic and trains in a park (the Kurpark). The rooms are ok if a bit dated. Ours had a fridge that you couldn't plug into an outlet, note the blue tape in the cord (foto). As other reviewers pointed out: if you cannot climb into a bath tub to shower, let the hotel know when you book. Toiletries are a nice brand. But to be shared among room mates. Plus to be used in the spa area, so definitely not enough. Nor the towels - one per person in this case. But since you need to use them in the spa area, they will be damp ever after. It would be nice to include a sentence like "bring a bath towel and shampoo" in the guest imfo.Car parking is discounted from the regular fees, administered by reception staff.The restaurant has attentive staff both for the breakfast buffet as well as for dinner. We had booked half board and were surprised by the selection. Quality was ok if not overwhelming, also for breakfast.   The perfect place to stay in Bad Kreuznach

  The location is superb, especially with the undergound acces to the crucenia therme.The renovated rooms are spacious and wel equipped.The only strange thing is that you get only one bottle of water in your room, regardless the number of nights you are staying there,The restaurant is to us still a place that needs some attention. For example:The fact that there was a menu for Good Friday (Karfreitag) for € 34, but when we entered the restaurant we were told it was € 55 “including a drink”. Most expensive drink ever. When we told the waiter, he came out and crossed the price of € 34 with a pen! We went elsewhere.The bar is very nice and sometimes there is good live music. The room with blue leather chairs should be updated, but still a nice place to sit.If you stay in this hotel, (locaties in a beautiful public garden) it is easy to walk along the Nahe river, visit the town and its museums, restaurants and shops by foot or go a bit further into the Salinental.By car you can easily reach places like Bingen, Rudesheim and Koblenz.And don’t forget to visit a winery!!We went there for the 8th time this year and definitely are coming back!   Nice hotel, prettig surroundings, lovend oké toen. We liked our stay. Rooms are nice, we particularly liked the closeness to the spa. Christmas buffet was ok but nothing special. We think its exaggerated to ask 25 EUR per night for a dog, especially if no extra service is provided.   My wife and I first stayed at the Park Hotel Kurhaus for six weeks back in the year 2000, and we recently returned for a four-day visit—a full 25 years later. We are thrilled to report that our experience was nothing short of fantastic, and the hotel is every bit as grand and impressive as we remember.Unbeatable Thermal AccessThe absolute highlight of our stay remains the incredible, seamless connection to the thermal pools. The ability to simply walk from your hotel room in your swimsuit and bathrobe straight to the Kurhaus thermal baths is a luxury you won't find anywhere else. We took full advantage of this included option, visiting twice each day of our four-day stay. This unique feature is truly the reason to choose the Park Hotel.Comfort and FlexibilityOur room was generously sized, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We also appreciated the inclusion of instant coffee—a small detail that adds significant flexibility for us. On that note, while the hotel experience is excellent, for future extended stays, we might consider an Air B&B or vacation apartment for the added kitchen flexibility that better suits early risers or those who stay up late without disturbing their partner.Dining and RecommendationsOur half board option provided good meals overall. However, we did notice a couple of small service issues that we hope can be improved for future guests:Process Clarity: The greeters at the dining area were often abrupt and did not provide clear details on the dining process, leaving us to figure out the meal flow.Beverage Service: On occasion—about one meal in three—a waiter or waitress did not come to our table to take beverage orders. Consistency in this area would elevate the dining experience significantly.Finally, we noticed a sign on the elevator leading to the thermal pools stating an inspection was due in 2024. While we may have misread it, this was mildly concerning and should be a quick fix to ensure peace of mind for guests.ConclusionDespite those minor points of feedback, we absolutely loved our experience. The Park Hotel Kurhaus is a beautiful, classic destination, and we hope to be back again in the next year or two. Thank you for another wonderful memory!
