A perfect hotel for all weathers

    rating10 Apr 2026

We stayed here for a city break and I couldn't fault it. We arrived 2 hours before 3pm check in time and we were kindly let into our room early with no charge. The room was clean with everything we needed and notably the hairdryer was good quality and powerful. Our room opened onto the terrace, which is a lovely space to relax. Equally the bar area had a good atmosphere and the beach themed roof terrace bar is also a bright and popular spot for drinks and good views of the city. All staff encountered worked hard and were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a relaxed buffet with many options, including cereals, yogurts, pastries, continental and cooked, including some traditional Bavarian offerings, such as leberkäse and semmel. The hotel is on a quiet street, just a short walk from the Old Town. If you want a quirky, reasonable and eco friendly hotel, then look no further.

    Style over substance

    rating07 Apr 2026

We booked this trip for 2 adults and a 14 year old, and wanted to see the city.We chose the hotel based on the reviews and the description of the facilities on the website, however, it wasn't all as it seemed to be.Positives:Comfy bed and nice beddingSmart tv (for access to Prime etc when you wanted to have an hour after being out all day)Pleasant rooftop bar and downstairs reception area - nicely decorated with a funky lift display that showed you going up into the treetops. The room was very clean in respect of dust free etc.The room is well soundproofed - we were on the stairwell one floor down from the rooftop bar in room 601 but didn't hear anyone coming up and down the stairs.Negatives:Self check in was difficult - no one came to see if we were ok or welcome us to the hotel. They key cards had to be programmed yourself, easy enough, but after the struggle to get checked in in the first place...The welcome email I was sent included a link to a ‘guest app’ but then I was told that the app wasn’t used and I had to speak to reception to request cleaning etcYou had to request cleaning, new towels, toilet paper - which was done efficiently but a bit of a pain. We booked a Triple room and was seemingly given an apartment which was a bonus as we had two rooms to separate us from our teenager. However, it was very tired and grubby - lots of scuff marks on the wall and even a footprint halfway up one wall. It needed a paint. The room advertised a 'rainfall shower' but this was just a bog standard shower. The apartment had a small kitchenette but although the dishwasher didn’t work, someone had loaded it up prior to our arrival and no one had checked/emptied it so there were dirty pots left in there - it wasn't even plumbed in and still had the packing inside it.There wasn't enough crockery and went downstairs to the restaurant to get some ( then we saw what was in the dishwasher)There was no washing liquid or tea towel to use on the dirty pots (we ate breakfast in the room)We had a kettle but there was no accessible plug - we had to boil it in the bathroom! There was no tea or coffee supplied. There was a loose light fitting in the main room. It didn't affect the light's performance, but it looked messy. The bedroom had a velux blind but the control was not apparent - it looked like there were no window coverings. The blinds in living room let in a lot of light and did not fit properly so our teen was woken every morning with the light coming in.The smart Tv randomly tries to connect to peoples airplay - I assume they were in the bar.Overall, the room especially wasn't what I expected from the photographs. I was disappointed.

New hotel, centrally located but not reecommended for business travelers

    rating01 Apr 2026

This seems like a new hotel that is centrally located and well connected. The room is comfortable with modern fittings and it has some power plugs including USB ports beside the bed. You can leave luggage in lockers before check in or after checkout. I can't really recommend this if you're travelling for business. Firstly, they seem to be understaffed. There was one person working during the 3pm check-in time and they had to not only serve people who wanted coffees/drinks/food in the cafe. They say that breakfast starts from 7am, but that's really when they are starting to set everything up. Based on my experience over a couple of the days, about half of the breakfast was available by 7:30am. Also don't use the self-check out as you don't get an automatic invoice email as promised. I sent them an email to request this and still haven't got an invoice, which is very annoying.

    Good Value and Great Service

    rating23 Jan 2026

Stayed while visiting family and found the accommodations most comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although compact, the room and bedding were quite acceptable. The only thing I found lacking was a comfortable chair and desk space to work. The lobby/breakfast area have comfortable seating but can be quite noisy. Breakfast offering is top notch.
