  OK so again, having read mixed reviews, was a little uncertain what to expect. The Hotel is literally just off the S-Bahn station exit - but as the S-Bahn is underground, zero noise! Munich Flughafen-Karlsplatz 15 euros per person, takes 45 mins. Same in reverse. Check-in was quick and easy with very welcoming staff. We were upgraded from Standard to Business room. Room 517 on level 5 - VERY quiet and spacious. Room was clean. Yes, a few minor maintenance issues if I wanted to be really critical, nothing worthy of complaint. Yes the Hotel is perhaps a little dated, but only just. Bathroom all OK, everything worked. Good shower, hair dryer and heated towel rail. Complimentary hand and body soaps, tissues etc. LOVELY comfortable bed - pillows weird, large and square, but you get used to that. Mini-safe in room, smart TV. No fridge or tea/coffee making facilities, but then we read that so took out own kettle etc. Breakfast (06.30-10.30) was perfectly adequate, with staff again extremely helpful. Usual offering is boiled eggs, hot sausages and bacon. Bread rolls, Prezel. Cereals & Yoghurts. Cold meats, cheese, pates, fruit and some cucumber/pepper/dates. Some cake & jams. GREAT Coffee freshly made for you. Seriously, you could not complain about the breakfast. Hotel is 10-15 min walk to Marianplatz and is just off Karlsplatz, so a really great location. Daily Glokenspiel shows at 11, 12 & 5pm. Around the hotel there is a McDonalds & Burger King and a number of stores where you could buy snacks. 5 mins to the main shopping. Koeningsplatz a 10 min walk. We took a taxi one lazy day from the hotel to Odeonsplatz and it was 9 Euros. The Residenz is aqmazing but VERY big - took ages and a LOT of walking. Very few seats, no cafe. You cannot take bags with you, but DO take a bottle of water, you will be glad you did! Hotel check out is 11am, but we were able to leave our case in a secure room until 5pm as we had a late flight. Vending machine in reception, water, pop and a few sweets. All in all, a great Hotel, well positioned and well worth it. Highly recommended!

  Misleading information and poor service

  I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Daniel in Munich. The main issue was that the listing indicated that the hotel offered parking. However, upon arrival, I was informed that there is no parking available at the hotel. This caused significant stress and inconvenience, as I had to spend a long time searching for parking nearby after a long trip. This information is misleading and should be clearly corrected. Unfortunately, this was not the only problem during my stay. Housekeeping was inconsistent — our towels were not replaced, and the bathroom was only superficially cleaned. On one occasion, there was even an unpleasant smell, which made the experience quite uncomfortable. The shower did not work well too, it cooled all of sudden in the middle of the bath. The overall service also felt unfriendly. After raising the parking issue, I felt that the staff treated us differently, with a lack of attention and courtesy. We also checked the breakfast option (which was not included), and it did not seem worth the price at all — very limited and unappealing. Overall, I did not feel welcomed or well treated during my stay. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if accurate information and good service are important to you.

  Excellent hotel for value and location. Family run hotel in perfect location for exploring central Munich. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful reception. Happy to stay here again, will certainly return

  Great location next to metro, close to Karlsplatz and train station. I was a little nervous after reading other reviews but I found the room clean, helpful staff, and the breakfast was fine for what I paid (additional $5 per person). Breakfast was breads, rolls, meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit. Nothing fancy but a good place to sleep.

  Extremely disappointed with this hotel.The bathroom had a terrible smell throughout. This was really unpleasant.Both Shower glass doors were unhinged. Tiny bathroom!No hot water kettle!AC was ineffective or not working! We had to keep the windows ajar and there was non stop noise of traffic especially multiple ambulances throughout the day and night. In one hour I heard 5 ambulances and they were soooo soooo loud.The room was a front facing one but since there was some supposed repair work going on to the bldg exterior, there was a cloth mesh all over the bldg. So Zero view!The breakfast was extremely poor and when we mentioned it to the reception, they said it was so since they charged only 10€ for the breakfast. For us the total amount per night was what showed when booking on Agoda.All in all extremely disappointed with the room and the Hotel in general.Staff was reasonably helpful!
