  Bad experience at holiday inn express Munich north

  As my email to the hotel has not had an impact, I am going to share it to any platform I can. It’s about our stay at the holiday inn express Munich north. Here are the points I want to complain about:1. Cleanliness of the carpet in the room: the floor was not just dirty, it bursts from dirt. The carpet has dirt spots as big as 20cm spots and they’re everywhere in that carpet. Sorry but you can’t say that this happened to be overseen by housekeeping. This is old dirt. Carpet had not been deep-cleaned long time. Really uncomfortable, because these dirt spots are super big and numerous. See pictures.2. Service FO: Went to front office this morning and asked our cosmetic wipes to be replaced, because they’re empty. Returned just now, like 9 hours later, and..: they’re still empty. The employee at FO even noted down the room (correctly, I checked), but this has not been done…3. Service check in: I checked in myself autonomously. We entered the room afterwards. One bed. I booked for three people, meaning that we’d need the extra couch-bed. This one was not prepared. I wonder why… if the guests to be chucking in would have been checked beforehand, that fact that we are three people, should have been obvious and the room could have been prepared.4. Cleanliness of the couch: this couch also has spots, lighter than the floor but also ugly.5. Friendlyness: this morning while breakfast we came down to have breakfast. We went from the lifts to the breakfast room and passed front office and two employees at the FO. We passed them saying good morning. My mum said it pretty loudly, friendly and laughing because she was in a good mood. Neither of them did reply. Also when we left, an employee passed us. She didn’t say anything. I wonder why wishing a good morning or a good day is so difficult, let alone replying.6. Second impression room: while first impression of the room wasn’t good due to the carpet, I tried to cheer me up with other details but there was no tea next to the cups, what should I make myself a hot drink with? You offer a water boiler and sugar for what? For hot sugary water? That was weird. But if there were tea sachets, I would not have used them, I realized just a moment later, because cups did not seem clean…I’m very negatively surprised from your service at this specific hotel.   Good for a quick stay - interesting parking.

  Good hotel for 1-2 nights, the location is good to get into town quickly by car. The staff was friendly and the check-in was quick. The rooms are clean and spacious.The parking was quite expensive, and also very confusing with the underground parking design, which had metal lifts for cars? (which was out of order and generally confusing for me).Overall good for a quick stay in Munich. We are sorry to hear the layout and equipment felt confusing and will keep your perspective in mind.These metal plates in the garage are necessary to fullfil the number of parking spaces due to the regulations. Naormally they are movable, but only together in a row, but if someones car car sticks out too far at the rear we can´t move the metal parking plates without damaging the cars behind.   Comfortable Bed and Noce breakfast

  We stayed in a triple room at the Holiday Inn Munich North, which featured a king-size bed and a sofa bed. The room was modern and clean, following the standard Holiday Inn layout.The bathroom was especially nice, with a spacious shower cubicle, a light-up mirror, a sink, and a standard toilet. Unfortunately, the shower holder in our room was broken, so the shower head kept slipping down. However, the provided shower gel and shampoo were of good quality.Next to the bed, there were both EU plug sockets and USB ports — very convenient for charging devices. The room also came with tea and coffee-making facilities, though bottled water was not provided.Breakfast was included in the room rate and offered a wide variety of options. There were hot items like scrambled eggs, sausages, and baked beans, as well as a continental selection.   My family and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago as part of our 2 week European road trip. This is an excellent hotel - the reception staff were very good and able to assist in giving advice on how best to get into Munich itself. That said be aware that this hotel is nowhere near the tourist bits of Munich and you'll either need to drive, get public transport or else you're in for a very long walk.   Straight forward concept

  Ideally located with easy access to various locations in and around Munich IHG offers a straight forward concept with a correct price / quality balance. Rooms & bathrooms are a little bit smaller than average, but they are well equipped, clean & quiet. Breakfast is good & staff is friendly, although at the reception sometimes not always available in the right numbers.Summary: good value for money with ideal connections.
