The hotel has 96 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by a lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Large clean room but old furnishings, not renovated, close to train station and Altstadt but becareful at night on this street. Breakfast was excellent, staff all friendly.

    The first night while I was getting ready for bed the night porter unlocked the door and walked right into the room. He left closed door then knocked proceeding to tell me I was in the wrong room. That room was for a gentleman who always stayed in that room. This went on and eventually he said he would rebook at the booking and come back to me if I had to leave. He didn't come back. Baths in the property was appealing,especially after a full day's walking. See photo it needs no explanation other than to say this is what came out of the tap. Needless to say the soak expected did not happen.Location was good for town but un an area which was run down and had may homeless people begging.

    The hotel is close to main train station, which is good. If you exit the hotel and turn left, you are on the main road to the train station or centre of Munich. Turn right and within 20mtrs, you are in an area with strip clubs and bars, which didn’t seem to be a nice / safe area. I booked one of the cheaper rooms, on the top floors which haven’t been renovated. These rooms are cheaper, but dated and need to be modernised. The room had a shower over the bath, but it was hard to use because of the shape of the bath and the low roof. The walls are thin - so you can hear neighbours and people walking to their rooms Overall, the location is ok (as long as you don’t turn right) and close to the centre and train station. The room was basic but cheap.

    OverallHad a good experience. The street is under construction and some nearby businesses are less than stellar but we had no issues. It was very close not only to the train station but also to both Old town via Karlsplatz and to the location for Octoberfest. Room is nice and remodeled. With a good shower. Staff was very nice and polite and helpful. We had a mechanical issue with our toilet and they fixed it very quickly. It was a very comfortable place to stay
