  Location was great! We were just a couple of minutes walking from an underground and tram stop, which we used nearly every day. It is on a pedestrian-only street with shopping and restaurants. Also just a short walk to Marienplatz. The room itself was clean but tight for 2 people, each having their own suitcase. We got bottles of water in the room each day, but there was no coffee machine or kettle.   I will preface this review by qualifying that I arrived very early for check in, so I was expecting that it might be impossible to get checked in earlier than the 3pm time givenI had however flown overnight from a work conference and, since I was meeting with a large group of 10+ people who would also be staying at the hotel, I thought I would give the early check in a try and see if it would be possible to get some sleep in the meantimeThe fact that I could not check in early was not the problem, rules are rules and I understand if rooms are not available, but the attitude of the staff in the reception was ridiculously bad for somebody working in hospitalityThe man running the reception seemed completely stressed, to an almost comical level, and was rude and dismissive. He told me to come back at a specific time to see if there were a room ready, and then lost his temper with me when I did so, ignoring me and not giving an answer whilst running around looking flustered and inept. I noticed his poor manner with other customers also, all of whom seemed to be just asking simple questions which should be basic and expected for someone working in such a roleThis person was either having the worst work day ever or is basically completely unsuited to this type of work. Front of house type work takes patience and he didn’t have any.   VERY NICE HOTEL

  My husband and I spent 4 nights at Mio Munich and we loved our stay! We booked a “roomy” room and it was very nice with a large shower. The location was perfect for visiting many of the Munich Christmas Markets. The breakfast there is delicious with many options including made to order eggs and omelettes. All of the Mio staff were friendly and polite and went to great lengths to assure we had a good experience at this hotel. Our only disappointment was that the beautiful bar was only open one night during our stay. There was a private event held there one night and two other nights they just didn’t open. The night we were able to enjoy the bar the bartender, Thanos, was GREAT! He made fabulous cocktails and was quick and efficient. He and Laura really made a fun night for us! When we return to Munich we will definitely stay there again. Thank you all for our lovely stay at Mio!   Wonderful location & well appointed rooms

  The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to the main attractions & an easy / moderate walk (or short taxi ride) from the main train station. The rooms are well appointed & a decent size in comparison to others we have stayed at in Munich. Hotel staff are friendly to top it off. If we visit Munich again, we will definitely be staying with Mio

  We loved it! The hotel is centrally located and very clean and comfortable. On a pedestrian street so it felt safe. Also offered a great breakfast!
