    We chose this hotel in part because it advertised air conditioning but in the room we were given the AC never worked. We stayed three nights and the first night we complained about the room being hot. This was during a heat wave. We were told that it would have to wait until the next day to be fixed. In the meantime, we were given a very noisy floor unit that had to have an open window for the exhaust. The street is noisy with an open window, not to mention the cigarette smoke that floats up. A workman came the next day, poked at the AC unit but it never did more than produce squeaks. We were stuck for the next two nights.

    I stayed at Living Hotel Das Viktualienmarkt and it was an absolute nightmare.Our room was infested with hundreds of mosquitoes. I woke up covered in mosquito bites, and my partner — who is a type 1 diabetic — was put at serious health risk because of the bites and lack of sleep. It was completely uninhabitable. The staff acknowledged this has happened before, but still refused to move us to another room that night.To make things worse: • The air conditioning didn’t work, so the room stayed hot and muggy the entire night. • The fridge also wasn’t working, which caused our food and insulin to spoil. • The room was full of mosquitoes all night and we were forced to sleep through it with no solution from the hotel.All management offered was a free breakfast and late checkout. That’s it. I followed up via email three separate times, requesting a refund for that night, and they have completely ignored every message. Absolutely no accountability, no care, and no professional response to a clear health hazard they were responsible for.This hotel has a serious problem with room quality, basic maintenance, and incompetent management. Avoid this place — especially if you value your health, your sleep, or even just basic service.

    Wonderful boutique hotel in the perfect location. Steps away from the the Viktualienmarkt and a short walk to Marienplatz. Rooms are small but modern and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again! Price was right too!!

    Hotel is about 5-10mins walk from Marienplatz. A boutique type of hotel and overlooking the amazing Viktualienmarkt. Very convenient and lots of cafe and restaurants around!We booked a junior suite on the 6th floor, and spacious for 3. Bathroom is a little small though but reasonable.Front office staff and team at Breakfast place are helpful, friendly and attentive
