  This was a great stay. Comfortable / cosy and lovely decorated room with a street view of the church opposite. The beds were exceptionally good. We flew into Munich and caught the S Bahn to Rosenheimer Platz which was an easy 20min downhill walk from the hotel. We walked into the centre of Munich each day - again about a 20min walk. It was the perfect location. Cafes and bars close by or a restaurant on site (didn’t get to eat here as they were too busy on the evening we were free). The staff were really friendly and helpful.   Perfect city location on a road trip

  Road trip from North Wales UK, through Europe, visiting France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Spain stayed here for just one night.Excellent City location with on site underground car park, plus easy free parking at front of Hotel whilst checking in.Pleasant young lady on front desk was very welcoming and informative.The hotel room and ensuite were really quirky, very clean, and oh so comfy bed.We didn't have a meal at the hotel restaurant but, we did have an excellent breakfast with lots to choice, the bacon was so good, as was the black tea.Make sure you check out the old town, 'about a 15 minute walk' with great bars and restaurants.We walked up the Alter Peter tower, where the view of the city is amazing, it is 91 metres high with over 300 steps.Thank you to everyone at the Marias Platzl for a lovely experience.   Sweet spot and cute, but there were issues with our room

  There are some lovely aspects to this hotel. The staff are genuinely attentive and helpful. It’s been charmingly renovated. The restaurant was great. It’s well located. Our room, however, presented obstacles. The bed was pushed up against a slanted wall so that one member of the couple can’t get out without climbing over the other. I felt claustrophobic and confined. We are older, and this is also a problem as we often have to get up in the middle of the night. The room was small, and the clothing and luggage storage was not easy to access. In no way did it resemble the ample space in the room photo on the website.   Disappointing Experience and Not Worth the Price

  I had high hopes based on the hotel’s website and reviews, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations.Parking IssuesUpon arrival, we used the on-site parking, only to find the lights shut off unexpectedly. I went to the unmanned reception desk, where I was told the lights were motion-activated. Despite our efforts, no amount of movement brought them back on. We ended up unloading our car in complete darkness, only to later discover there was a manual switch – contrary to what we were told.Room & ValueCheck-in was smooth, and the staff member was apologetic, which initially gave me hope. However, the room itself was underwhelming for the price. We've stayed in more spacious rooms at lower rates in pricier cities. This room felt particularly cramped, with the bed pressed into an alcove so tightly that I was genuinely concerned about bumping my head every time I got up.Breakfast DisappointmentWe were drawn in by the positive reviews of the breakfast, but by 9 AM, most of the hot items (eggs, bacon, white sausages) and bread were already gone. What remained wasn’t remotely worth the €20 per person they charged, so we decided to leave and eat elsewhere.Poor Service at ReceptionThe reception area was frequently unattended. When I inquired about checking out early, I had to call the staff member who was in a back office, clearly more focused on her phone than assisting guests. I had already been waiting a while with no acknowledgment.Final ThoughtsOverall, this hotel felt overpriced for what it offered. The experience was a far cry from what’s advertised online. To avoid unnecessary food waste, we initially refrained from refilling the buffet. However, guests are always welcome to individually request more of any breakfast items, as was also communicated at the time.With respect to the parking situation, we sincerely apologize for the confusion. The information you received about the garage lighting was unfortunately incorrect. There is, in fact, a manual switch available, and we are reviewing our internal communication to ensure this does not happen again.As for our reception service, we are generally available from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If our staff member is momentarily away from the desk, we encourage guests to ring the bell at reception, which immediately alerts the team in the back office. We're glad to hear that the check-in itself went smoothly and that our team member made a positive initial impression. Nonetheless, we regret to read that the room and overall experience did not meet your expectations. Guest comfort and satisfaction are extremely important to us, and your feedback will help us improve.Thank you again for your comments.
