Location

From the hotel guests can easily explore the cathedral town of Freising with its restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops, or explore the peaceful surrounding Bavarian countryside. It is 31 km from the Allianz Arena and 42 km from Munich city centre and the Neue Messe (exhibition centre). Nymphenburg Castle is some 45 minutes’ drive away. Franz Josef Strauss Airport is about 8 km away.

Facility

952 non-smoking rooms, including 4 single rooms, are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden.     Outstanding Stay – A Perfect Home Base for Exploring Bavaria

    My family and I traveled to Germany from March 15–21, and our stay at the Marriott Freising played a huge role in making the trip such a success. This was my family’s first time in Europe, though I’ve traveled extensively throughout the EU for work—and I’ve even stayed at this same hotel before. This time, however, the experience truly exceeded expectations.We wanted to explore beyond Munich (Salzburg, Rothenburg, Dachau, Neuschwanstein, etc.), so finding a hotel with easy parking and quick access to the highway—without being in downtown Munich—was important to us. This hotel was absolutely perfect for that purpose.Our flight was delayed by 24 hours, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating with our late arrival, which immediately set a positive tone. The rooms were clean, comfortable, well-sized for our family, and equipped with just the right amenities. One small suggestion would be to provide complimentary water in the rooms, rather than only offering refill stations in the fitness center.We used the hotel as our launching point for daily adventures, and the breakfast alone deserves special recognition. I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties (I’ve been Titanium for over a decade), and this was without question the best breakfast I’ve experienced—outstanding service, exceptional quality, and an impressive selection. Starting the day with a fresh pretzel alongside both traditional German options and familiar American favorites was a highlight for all of us. If I had one suggestion, it would be to offer decaf coffee.I also used the fitness center and found it well equipped with no complaints at all. Most importantly, the staff throughout the hotel was consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming.The location truly surprised us in the best way. It’s close enough to the airport to be convenient, yet far enough away to feel like a true vacation spot, nestled in a quiet Bavarian town with cobblestone streets, local shops, bakeries, and even a train station. Freising ended up being more than just a place to sleep—it became part of our destination.This Marriott absolutely knocked it out of the park, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone looking to explore Bavaria.     Good but not a Marriott standard

    The hotel in general is ok, but below standard Marriot quality. The receptionist at the front desk didn't even speak a good German. It was annoying that without notice apon arrival my credit card had been charged for an amount that was quite higher than expected and I had to ask why. The answer was that it was the deposit, something I wans't informed about at check-in, not very nice. The room was clean but the bathroom so small that 2 persons couldn't fit in, I woyuld have preferred a slightly smaller room and a bigger bathroom. All in all not a bad experience but the unexpected large deposit and small bathroom have contributed to my final vote. The wellness area is pretty nice and as I expected it.     Wonderful Simple Comfy Hotel where you can relax! Just outside Munich, super located near the airport! No Noise!!

    Stayed here for the second time actually! Freising is a little suburb of Munich, historical and pretty as well ask modern, all you need is within walking distance without hustle of a large city. Well located hotel is bear the airport as well. A nice playground is just across the street too. What I love about this hotel is the pool, it's superb and perfect with kids. The breakfast are magnificent as well and perhaps what makes this place really special despite being an older property is the staff, they are exceptionally nice, all of them. They really go out to make you feel welcome. I must say that makes me what to come back! Being co close to the airport there is absolutely no plane noise. Additionally the parking is superb, onsite. The TV channels are superb well. Wifi is excellent. I ma here agin after nearly 3 years...just as before, they have kept things up very well. No hidden costs etc. They even changed out reservations when we needed! The parking could be free really, it's just under them! I wish they would have smoked Salman on the menu again instead of smoked makrel! Love their local bread! These are minor really... It's really very very pleasant!     NOT AN AIRPORT HOTEL!! The hotel should not at all be called an airport hotel. The taxi ride is 15 mins and about 40 euros. The bus, which is not free, runs hourly. Very disappoining.     Great place to stay for a layover

    We stayed at the Munich Marriott Airport Hotel last week and had a very positive experience. While it isn’t a super modern hotel, it’s well maintained, very clean, and located in the charming historic town of Freising with good restaurants. The pool and spa area is also a nice bonus. What really stood out was the service. Almost everyone was genuinely friendly and welcoming, and a few team members were truly exceptional: Roska at breakfast (Croatia), Irving at the bar (Venezuela), Amofah (Ghana), and Veronika at the front desk (Bavaria). They made our stay memorable and are a real credit to the Marriott brand. The only downside is that the hotel is about 15–20 minutes from the airport, and the shuttle is not free and fairly pricey.
