  Great location, great staff..Absolutely disgusting carpets.Cant believe they allow the rooms, that are beautiful, to have carpets like this.   Disappointing experience

  Unfortunately, our experience at the Mercure Hotel in Freising was very disappointing.When we arrived at reception, the staff member repeatedly asked if we were sure we wanted only one bed, despite the reservation clearly stating so. The questioning felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, especially because we are two men.The next morning, housekeeping attempted to enter our room three times starting at 9:00 a.m., before we had even woken up, which was very disruptive.At breakfast — which we had fully paid for — the staff member greeting guests was extremely rude. When I tried to give my room number, he acted as if he couldn’t understand me, although it was clear he was simply being dismissive. I asked for an omelet and was told it was not possible because there were “only 10 minutes left,” even though breakfast was still officially ongoing. After breakfast time ended, we were asked to leave the table within about 10 minutes, despite us still finishing our drinks.The room itself looks very old and run down. The temperature was extremely hot, and there was no way to cool the room down, making it uncomfortable to rest.In the shower, there was no soap available. The dispenser appeared to be filled with a small amount of water to make it seem as if there was soap inside, which felt extremely cheap and unprofessional.On the positive side, the shower water was hot enough and the sheets were clean.Overall, the lack of professionalism from the staff, poor room conditions, and missing basic amenities made this stay far below what is expected from a Mercure hotel. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.   My favorite hotel to stay at for a jetlag recovery day when starting a trip. Very close to airport via bus and a short walk to the train. The breakfast is amazing.   Chose this airport as it is close to the airport. It was difficult to find - it's right off the frontage road and you have to park in the paid ramp ($25 for the night, even though we got there at 8 pm and left at 9 am). The room was fine, this one had A/C and a fridge. The bed was a little more separate than the other hotels we had been in in Germany, but it was comfortable and sufficient. The bathroom was a little sketchy - the water was difficult to turn on in the tub and the side of the tub was very tall (would be scary for older or unstable people to come in and out of. The sink and counter seemed new but the cabinetry seemed original and very old and worn. Nice hair dryer and good mirrors. The most frustrating thing was that this was our final night in Europe and we had packed in a week of tours and getting up early and finally had a night to sleep in as the rental car didn't need to be back until 10:30 am. But, alas, 5:00 am. the fire alarm bolts us out of our sleep and goes off for like 3 minutes! We looked out of our room while trying to collect things and look out the window... nothing ... it went off for like 3 minutes and when we heard nothing. We did then go back to bed. When mentioning this at checkout they just said, sorry, we need to change the battery I guess - with no compensation for our interrupted night of sleep.   The hotel you didn't know you were looking for.

  Perhaps 15 minutes from MUC Airport, this hotel is located in one of the more authentic communities of Munich. A short walk from the hotel and you'll be in the Freising city square where you can get ice cream, pastries, authentic Bavarian food, and take a few relaxing breaths. Rooms are nice, plenty of light, windows that open, stave that is attentive. Yes, it's a European continental breakfast, buts a couple steps up from typical. There's great attention to detail and display, a very wide selection of many items, even fresh honeycomb. There isn't any air conditioning in the rooms, BUT each room has a fan, which if placed well, it's actually quite pleasant. You're a good 35-40 minutes from city center. If you want the airport shuttle, you have to reserve it ahead of time.
