    Pleasant breakfast but staff rude

    rating04 Dec 2025

Stayed here as part of a tour. The hotel is about 30 mins drive from Old Town Munich.Room was clean but as like other reviews there was a smell of mould. I also could not locate it but it was near the bathroom door.Reception was friendly. The breakfast spread was good. The waitress staff was good but for one middle aged plump woman was very rude. I was trying to get hot water in my flask and she scolded me for doing so. When I requested her to help me, she was rude and asked me to boil my own water instead. My other tour mates experienced the same rude treatment - asked to share a table with two other Japanese tourists who are here on their own & felt so uncomfortable to share tables. But she insisted and scolded them for moving away. I believe she might be racist against Asians. The experience would have been a 4-5 stars if not for this episode. Daniyil Vilenkin, Guest Services / Front Office at Mercure Hotel Muenchen Sued Messe, responded to this review Dear Jotterbug,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your recent stay with us.We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast selection, found the room clean and appreciated the friendliness of our reception team. At the same time, we sincerely regret the negative impressions you experienced during breakfast service and the discomfort caused. Please accept our sincere apologies. The behaviour you described does not reflect our service standards. We are already addressing this internally with the team to ensure that all guests feel equally welcome and respected at all times. We take such comments very seriously — especially concerning courtesy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. We are also investigating the smell you mentioned in the room, as any such issue must be resolved immediately.Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. Your comments help us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a much more pleasant experience.Kind regards,Daniyil V. This hotel will probably be a nightmare

    rating21 Aug 2025

The problem I had was with the reservation process. I booked the hote for September, they made me pay immediately, but after i paid my sex was changed to female from male for some reason, and they started to correspond with me in German that i do not understand. I requested a receipt several times, and they were reluctant to even reply to my requests, When I called them, they were extremely rude and not able to help. Daniyil Vilenkin, Guest Services / Front Office at Mercure Hotel Muenchen Sued Messe, responded to this review Dear Neumanp,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Bar and restaurant closed with no excuse

    rating08 Mar 2025

On the 6th of March I booked two rooms for March 7th and selected the Mercure because it has a restaurant. Guess what, when we arrived both bar and restaurant were closed… ‘ not enough guests..’. Yeah, right…. But why was that not mentioned on the website? Very, very disappointing, also because the walk to the nearest restaurant takes you through not exactly the best neighbourhood! I could have booked a cheaper and more modern Ibis for less money. Poor Accor performance! Daniyil Vilenkin, Guest Services / Front Office at Mercure Hotel Muenchen Sued Messe, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about the disappointment caused by the closure of our bar and restaurant during your stay. We understand that this impacted your experience, especially as you specifically chose our hotel for these facilities. Please allow us to clarify that, unfortunately, the restaurant and bar sometimes operate with limited hours based on occupancy levels. We regret that this was not communicated more clearly at the time of booking and will take your feedback on board to improve information provided to our future guests. We appreciate your comments and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a stay that fully meets your expectations.Kind regards,Daniyil V. Very Good stay with Family

    rating28 Dec 2024

Stayed for 4 nights with Family. HotelIs good with neat and clean rooms. Housekeeping is very good and prompt. Staff was polite. Room size was very good and decent. Tea coffee maker and electric kettles are provided. The location is a pure residential area so supermarkets, restaurants are at a distance of 1-1.5 km. Bus stop is 100 m from the hotel. Bus no 197 connects to the metro and all supermarkets, restaurants & Pep Mall at Neuperlach Zentrum within just 5 min so no issues on convenience. Pl note the hotel is slightly far from main station (Hauptbahnhof) and the city centre (Marien Platz) so take the time margin even while travelling by Bus / Metro. Overall it was a very good stay and I would recommend the Hotel.

Enjoyable stay during a busy Octoberfest

    rating03 Oct 2024

This is a top class Mercure hotel a little out from the city but when you know the transport links its well worth the distance, the number 197 bus stop is a short walk from the hotel which after only 4 stops brings you too the U Ban station from there another 5 stops and you are in the centre of Munich day transport tickets cost €9,00 to use as many times as you want bus,Uban, train. As for the hotel itself it is very modern good size rooms and the staff are very professional and pleasant. Ivan Tusic, General Manager at Mercure Hotel Muenchen Sued Messe, responded to this review Dear Trevor, Thank you for your excellent review, we hope to see you again for the next Oktoberfest.Sincerely
