  Made a mistake and asked for help. They refused

  I had a deeply frustrating experience with PLAZA Premium München's customer service.They obviously don’t value their customers. They didn’t respond helpfully nor offered any solutions nor showed any empathy, which is a shame for a hotel of this caliber. I made a genuine human error, requested help within 15 minutes, and they refused any accommodation.The don’t follow any grace period, don’t listen to you or reasonable solutions you offer. We're now locked into a €865 fee for a hotel we don't feel welcome at, for a stay that’s 6 months away with every chance to get booked by someone else. On Nov 19 2025 I booked 2 rooms at PLAZA Premium München through Booking.com for June 17 > 18, 2026. We booked with the Free Cancelation option because we are coming to Munich for an international concert, and since the concert was 7 months away and they tend to get canceled or rescheduled, we wanted to be on the safe side and have the flexibility. We then decided to extend the stay by another day, and then another since we’ve never been to Munich, so I updated the dates of the reservation. Our final booking was for June 15 > 18, 2026 amounting to € 865 in total. After I updated the dates, I noticed that the type of our reservation got changed to Not cancelable and not changeable. “If you cancel, modify the booking, or don't show up, the fee will be the total price of the reservation.” This was at 22:54 . A 23:06  I messaged the property via Booking app, explained the situation and asked if it was possible to change the type of the reservation back. If this was too complicated to do in the system, I was willing to make another reservation instead with the correct type if they could cancel the one I’d made by mistake. The reply I got was one sentence telling me to contact Booking, which I did. Booking said that they’re ready to help, but I need to get consent from the property to make a change like that or to cancel, which is fair. I got back to Plaza hotel and shared Booking’s reply, but I got the exact same one sentence reply that they can’t cancel.In total over the 2 days I messaged them 5 times, and every time they (or their bot) replied with the same sentences “Unfortunately, we cannot give you any consent regarding cancellation”. My friend, who I booked the other room for, said that because of this treatment they’d prefer to stay at a different hotel, so I asked Plaza if they could at least cancel one of the rooms, which was the cheaper one as well. They ignored me for 3 days and after I followed-up, they sent the same one sentence response “ as before. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing. It wasn’t a last minute cancelation request. The stay in 6 months in the future. I’m requesting that PLAZA Premium München reconsider and cancel this reservation. A small gesture of goodwill in response to a guest reaching out within minutes of a genuine mistake would be far more valuable than the reputation of refusing to help in any way.   nice modern duplex room plus good value

  this year im quite often in munich. so here is another review of a enjoyable stay i had. for your money you can get at The Plaza premium a really clean, modern and well designed room. i choosed the duplexroom, coz i love the design.the bed upstairs is a cool thing , the bathroom shower are very clean ..the furniture like chair, table ...i couldnt find any scratches or staind on carpets.the breakfast is fair priced and offers lots of things to choose. the settings and design are pretty cool .there is little gym at the ground floor. enough to keep my body fit.the location is a short walk from the metrostation away. nearby are some grocerystores.if you dont mind to stay right in the center of the city , yes i would recommend the plaza coz in that price range 80 to 100 euro its good option for munich.last but not least ..what about the employees, at reception and restaurant they were really nice and helpful ...so keep your hotel like that and i will coming back on my next visit in munnich, Dagmar Diedrichs, Owner at Plaza Premium Munchen, responded to this review Dear Martin,Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback and for choosing to stay with us frequently during your visits to Munich.   Great Munich Hotel Outside of the City Center

  Great hotel outside of the city center. The single room was spacious and well thought out, with a location for a suitcase, a small chair and a desk. Located very close to public transportation which takes you directly to Marienplatz and Goetheplatz (for Oktoberfest). I can't speak to the typical pricing as we were visiting during Oktoberfest so we paid a premium, but it was one of the more affordable rates for such a large event! The room was very clean, although it had a bit of a funky smell when I first arrived, nothing I felt needed to be addressed. The room was quiet and peaceful! Would definitely recommend for a stay in Munich if you enjoy taking public transit or have a car.   No one at reception and no one to answer emails. Staff indifferent. I tried contacting them several times but no one responds so I was left trying to check in for an hour.   Really comfortable parking in a spacious hall under the hotel. Stylish and clean, big enough room. Splendid breakfast with healthy shots, detox water, omelett chef etc. Well located considering airport and access to downtown and Oktoberfest by Ubahn.
