  We stayed here the night of May 8, 9 and 10. Our room (#20) was very large, comfortable and very clean. Bedding and towels were provided., but the shower was very small. Breakfast was also included daily and was excellent, with 3 or 4 kinds of cheese served daily along with bread, butter,crackers, toppings, coffees, and juices. Location is excellent: walking distance to Oktoberfest grounds, short Uber or taxi ride to the train station go to Marienplatz 4 1/2 stars

  We stayed in a wonderful old room in a cute hotel. The traditional German breakfast was delicious, and the dining room was very cute. The staff is super responsive, and we were able to check in after hours after an unexpected travel delay. Definitely recommend!

  I stayed with my husband for 3 nights in total and we had a very pleasent time. The staff was welcoming and kind, the brakfast was really tasty with a small variaty of many things to choose from (the cheeses are great) and the rooms were spacious. Yes, the hotel is kinda of vintage but its not the end of the world to have a manual key. We did not know that the hotel does not have a 24/7 reception but it was not an issue for us at all since we were able to enter with our keys at anytime. (we actually encourage not having people working 24/7 for no reason). And the hotel has an excellent location near by the metro, the train station, the city center and many restaurants in the area. The only thing is that there is no mini fridge or safe in the room. But well, you get what you pay and for us was really good and we are definitely coming back in our next visit to Munich!

  Beware! We booked this hotel a few months in advance via a third party website (sparkfly) for a standard room with double or king bed. When we arrived, we were told that we booked a single room - literally for one person. Twin bed, one pillow, one towel - you get the point. We arrived directly from the airport at 10:30 pm LUCKILY because the lobby closes at 11 pm (they do not have a 24 hour lobby or check in). For a hotel located across the street from Oktoberfest, and it being the opening weekend for the festival, I could not believe they close their lobby at 11 pm. The front desk girl was eager to go home because she allowed us to check into this single person room without mentioning anything. She then gave us an additional room key when we let her know we couldn’t sleep in the room and said “I can’t do anything now, I already shut down the computer. Take this room key, it will be free of charge just explain the situation to my colleague in the morning.” The next day, her colleague was extremely rude to me and my spouse. He literally told me that he was here now, not the girl and it wasn’t his problem that we booked the room wrong. He made us pay for the additional room and pay the difference for an actual double room. Complete lack of customer service and he took advantage of us as tourists. It wasn’t his problem, but it was very convenient for him that we ended paying almost $2k for a 4 night stay. We could have stayed at a much nicer (and friendlier) hotel for that price. We tried calling sparkfly but they could not resolve the issue so we had no choice but to pay. The room was very outdated - an actual huge key that you have to lock when you leave and when you’re inside the room. The shower was tiny and the bathroom smelled bad. The ONLY good thing at this hotel was the free breakfast. I would 100% not stay here again.

  My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon around Europe. I can only describe this hotel as condemned and not fit for use. The staff were negligent, we could hear rats/mice in the walls and ceiling. There was shredded material falling out of cracks in the roof around the room from the rodents. The bathroom stank of rodent urine to the point we were gagging while trying to shower. The best was so bad and musty and filthy I doubt it had been washed at any point over the months prior to us being there and we very very reluctantly slept in it. This hotel should be reported to authorities as it literally is not suitable to stay in. I would feel bad taking someone off the street into this hotel. The staff when politely confronted were very aggravated and accused us of lying and refused to come to the room to have a look with us. I have never left a bad review on any hotel I have ever stayed at but this room was so bad I dont want anyone else to make the same mistake. Reading reviews it appears they have made no efforts whatsoever to rectify these issues since our stay and if anything has gotten worse. Just poor management and lazy.
