  Chaotic Lobby Environment on Arrival

  We arrived late in the evening and had difficulty checking in. There was no staff member at the front desk, and the check-in area appeared completely unattended. Because of that, several people who didn’t appear to be hotel guests were gathered in the lobby, playing loud music, drinking, and shouting, which made the situation feel disorganized and uncomfortable.We tried to resolve the issue by emailing the hotel, and although we eventually received a response, the process was a hassle when we were simply trying to check in after a long trip.I hope the hotel can improve its late check-in procedures and ensure the lobby remains monitored for the comfort and safety of actual guests.

  The hotel is located in an area that does not offer any facilities, you depend on transport for everything, restaurants, cafes, the supermarket etc.  Positive: The room was very clean and renovated.  I was at this hotel for one night, while travelling to another holiday destination. The receptionist is the owner's daughter and was extremely rude, with no skills for the task. There was a problem opening the door to my room, some guests next door also had difficulties.I can't recommend this hotel.

  Simple rooms, simple and poor breakfast, nothing special. We spent several days in this hotel, it is clean, but everything very simple. For stay of few night , if you do not need something special- ok, otherwise it is not good choice.

  We stayed here for one night while visiting Bamberg. Excellent location only 15 minutes by bus to centre of Bamberg then easy 10 minute walk to Rathaus & other sites. Clean & comfortable with a good breakfast offered on site. Would definitely recommend.

  we had booked (2 rooms for oe night) on-line for this property. Inadvertenelty we booked the wrong night. I noticed the error within 30 seconds, and contacted them right away to request a change. Was advised that our booking was "non refundable"....even though the reservation was made months in advance. the online booker (bookimg.com) told me they asked if the hotel would make an exception and change our night. NOPE - no exceptions....of course, the hotels was happy to offer to cancel the paid reservation (yuh, so they could re-sell), and take an additional reservation on the correct day! NO WAY. we stayed at a lovely air bnb just outside bamberg for way less money....The original error was mine - OK, OK, it was a non refundable rate - but really - sems awfully petty and spiteful. To boot, my mistake date was on a long weekend, where they could have easily re-booked. The correct date was the middle of the week when the hotel would have likely been emptier....
