Location

The hotel is located only 600 m from the city centre, the old town and the main train station. It is therefore the ideal base from which to take many interesting excursions and enjoy the numerous activities on offer in the Nuremberg area. The famous Craftsmen's Courtyard is just a 5-minute walk away, while the "Felsengaenge", passageways under the old town, are around 10 minutes away and Kaiserburg Nuremberg is 15 minutes from the hotel.

Facility

36 single rooms and 23 double rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. A baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. There is also a playground for younger guests. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Services include a laundry service. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. Complimentary newspapers are available. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Individually adjustable heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is among the standard features of some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. The hotel has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The sports and entertainment facilities at the hotel ensure that guests have plenty of activities to choose from during their stay. Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including cycling/mountain biking, a gym, aerobics and a sauna.

    Exceptionally friendly welcome ar reception with special touches such as a glass of free mulled wine as it was Christmas time. There were also free nibbles in the room with a friendly welcome personalized note. We loved the African themed bedroom decor...

    Convenient location. Easy walk to old walled City. Room was small with no air-conditioning, but thankfully a fan. We thought parking was free but no 10 Euros. Reception staff friendly. Breakfast was very expensive. OK for overnight stay.

    The hotel is not as described.There is an elevator in the hotel but the reception does not let you use it.

    The hotel is not as described on Booking.com and on the hotel website!A bad hotel in terms of its customer service and its comfort!There is no correspondence between what is listed on the hotel website and on Booking.com and the reality.It is written that the hotel has an elevator. There was an elevator but we were not allowed to use it because the receptionist claimed that the elevator did not reach our floor. Beyond that, she did not offer help in carrying the luggage.After we had to go up 2 floors with very heavy bags (and we are not young - my husband is 75 years old), I found out that the elevator does reach the floor, only from the other side and there is a passage from it to the room we got through the hotel balcony which is open most of the day (see photo). The receptionist She definitely knew this because she brought drinks to guests on the balcony via the elevator, but still insisted that the elevator could not be used.Instead of using our only evening in Nuremberg to enjoy and see the sights of the city, we had to sit in the room because my husband felt sick from this great effort.Our disappointment with the hotel and its customer service is great.One of the main reasons we chose the hotel is that it was stated on Booking.com that there is an elevator in the hotel.We paid an expensive price of 151 euros per night and did not get full value for money as the lift could not be used at check-in.To our disappointment, our short holiday in Nuremberg was ruined by poor customer service and lack of help from the receptionist, as well as a discrepancy between what was said on the website and reality.This time the hotel's commitment to provide the best travel experience has failed!"Best Western® Customer ServiceBest Western is committed to providing you with the best travel experience possible.     Great hotel and amazing staff

    Great for business travelers, very helpful staff, printer and business centre accessible for us to use and bag storage available prior to our check in. Stayed in a single bed room, bathroom had great pressure and hot water, very good sound insulation. Mattress was hard and pillows lumpy, but otherwise everything was amazing!

    Whenever possible, I try to find Best Western hotels when I am staying in Europe as they tend to be very well-run and welcoming. The Best Western Nuremberg am Hauptbanhof did not dissapoint! The staff were so very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the location was within walking distance of Old Town and the breakfast was so tasty with many choices. I would definitely stay here again.
